Study On The Influencing Factors Of China’s Agricultural Products Export To South Korea Under The Framework Of FTA

In 2015,China and South Korea have officially signed a free trade agreement(FTA).Under the effect of FTA related trade preferential policies,China’s export of agricultural products to South Korea continues to expand.From 2018 to 2019,South Korea is the fifth largest export market of China’s agricultural products.At present,with China actively building a new development pattern of "double circulation" and implementing the strategy of free trade area,South Korea,as a peripheral market,will consolidate and strengthen its position in China’s agricultural export territory.This paper analyzes the current situation of China’s agricultural export trade to South Korea from two aspects of trade scale and product structure,and uses the trade index to make a specific analysis of the sub categories of agricultural products exported by China to South Korea.It is found that the edible vegetables,plant roots,meat,fish,crustacean products and vegetable and fruit products exported by China occupy a high market share in the South Korean market.Among China’s agricultural products exported to South Korea,edible vegetables,plant materials,grains,animal feed and other products are more competitive,and the comparative advantages of aquatic animals such as fish and their products are more prominent.At the same time,except for individual products such as dairy products,eggs,beverages,wine and vinegar,most of the trade of agricultural products between the two countries is inter industry trade.Then,the paper analyzes the influencing factors of China’s agricultural exports to South Korea under the FTA framework from both theoretical and empirical aspects.The theoretical analysis focuses on China,South Korea and the international environment.The empirical analysis takes the data from 2000 to 2020 as the sample,constructs the trade gravity model,and selects multiple influencing factors from China,South Korea and international environment as variables to make a regression analysis on the export trade of China’s overall agricultural products and classified agricultural products to South Korea.The results show that the sown area of Chinese crops,China’s agricultural added value,South Korea’s GDP,South Korea’s tax on agricultural products and China South Korea FTA have a significant impact on China’s overall agricultural exports to South Korea.Based on the above analysis conclusions,the paper puts forward policy suggestions to promote the export of Chinese agricultural products to South Korea.
