| Consumer activities are an important component of the entire social life.One of the basic tasks of market supervision departments is to protect the reasonable and legitimate rights and interests of consumers,and meet the basic needs closest to the public.Bringing benefit to the people is the fundamental principle of governance.Working for the people’s well-being is an essential part of the Party’s commitment to serving the public good and exercising governance for the people.The starting point and foothold of market regulation has always been to protect the interests of as many consumers as possible from infringement.The research object of this article is the Market Supervision Bureau of H County,Anhui Province,which is the author’s daily work unit.This article uses literature research,case analysis,and survey questionnaire methods to summarize the current situation and existing problems of market supervision administrative law enforcement in H County.Based on this,domestic and H County grassroots market supervision and consumer rights protection cases are selected for analysis,Focus on analyzing the current situation of consumer protection work and the problems in the effectiveness of local market supervision departments in safeguarding rights,and propose policy recommendations to improve the mechanism for protecting consumer rights and enhance the effectiveness of consumer rights protection.The research of this article consists of the following parts: The first part is an introduction.It mainly introduces the research background and significance of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.The second part is related concepts and theoretical foundations.Detailed explanations were provided on the basic theories related to the protection of consumer rights by market regulatory authorities,such as government function theory,new public service theory,collaborative governance theory,and so on.The third part introduces the current situation of H County’s market supervision department’s handling of consumer rights protection work,mainly explaining the current situation of H County’s market supervision consumer rights protection work from aspects such as job functions,personnel allocation,institutional settings,and process division.At the same time,by analyzing consumer complaint data in H County in the past three years,we identify the weaknesses of the market supervision department’s handling of consumer rights protection work in the new development environment.The fourth part is an analysis of the problems and reasons for the disposal of consumer rights protection work by the market supervision department of H County,combined with practical cases such as online consumption and prepaid consumption.The fifth part is the countermeasures and suggestions for improving the effectiveness of consumer rights protection by the market supervision department in H County.It is essential to study how to strengthen the services of market supervision departments in protecting consumer rights and interests,in order to enhance consumers’ satisfaction with handling complaints and reports from market supervision departments,improve the efficiency of complaints and reports,and maximize the protection of consumers’ legitimate rights and interests. |
