Research On Organizational Structure Optimization Of Z Enterprise

China’s national defense modernization and foreign military trade have driven significant growth in the domestic military electronics industry since the beginning of the 21 st century.Z Enterprise,a veteran company with more than two decades of experience in this sector,made a successful public debut on the Science and Technology Innovation Board in April 2021.Post-listing,the company experienced a surge in R&D projects and employees.However,Z Enterprise’s business operations have been significantly challenged by mounting external competition,rising material costs,falling product prices,high internal R&D expenses,and management costs.This research focuses on optimizing the organizational structure of Z Enterprise through a comprehensive analysis that employs literature research,case studies,interviews,and empirical summary methods.First,by thoroughly studying and distilling organizational structure theories,it identifies the commonly used structures,and their strengths and weaknesses.Second,by analyzing the historical evolution of Z Enterprise’s organizational structure,it further elucidates the ways in which the structure supports the construction of the company’s core competitiveness and the achievement of its business goals.Third,by examining the specific challenges faced by the company,and conducting interviews with employees,it uncovers the issues in Z Enterprise’s current organizational structure.Finally,based on the principles and approaches of organizational structure optimization,this research proposes a comprehensive plan for Z Enterprise that includes measures such as introducing semi-temporary structures,integrating function departments with similar responsibilities,establishing auxiliary function departments,expanding existing function departments,and adjusting the hierarchical structure of existing departments.On the theoretical level,the series of research conclusions presented in this article regarding Z Enterprise contributes to enriching the existing body of organizational structure theory research.From a practical standpoint,the proposed organizational structure optimization plan can offer practical guidance for similar enterprises and assist them in addressing organizational structure issues in a more efficient and scientific manner.
