Homestead,as an important asset owned by farmers,is limited by the existing rural land system arrangements, farmers cannot convert idle homesteads into income, resulting in waste of rural land resources and loss of farmers’ interests. The homestead system is the most complex, unique, and most sensitive system in China’s rural land system arrangements. It is also a system that has been subject to many disputes in the deepening reform of the rural land system in recent years, and the reform is relatively lagging behind. As an important practice for the country to promote the deepening reform of the homestead system, the withdrawal of homestead land has great practical significance for revitalizing the rural homestead resources, improving the living standards of farmers, and realizing the intensive use of homestead land. Therefore, under the new situation, how to revitalize the homestead resources, release the functions of the homestead, increase the property income of the farmers, improve the living standards of the farmers, and make the best use of the rural assets are the key and difficult problems in the deepening reform of the current rural homestead system.one.Taking Gedian Development Zone,Ezhou City,Hubei Province as the research area, taking farmers who have not yet withdrawn from their homesteads as the research object, using interviews and questionnaires to obtain relevant farmer information data, and taking the family life cycle as a research perspective, constructs a The functional demand measurement index system of farmer’s homestead in the study area, comprehensively use quantitative analysis methods such as entropy method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to measure the function demand of farmer’s homestead in different life cycles, and comprehensively use binary logistic regression method, optimal scale regression method Model and other regression model methods are used to explore the influencing factors of farmers’ homestead exit willingness and homestead exit compensation preference, and to verify whether family life cycle variables affect farmers’ homestead exit willingness decision-making through homestead functional requirements based on the mediation effect model. The main research results are as follows:(1)64.58% of the peasant households surveyed in the study area are willing to withdraw from their homestead. From the perspective of different life cycles,63.08%of the growing nuclear family farmers are willing to withdraw from their homestead, and 61.46% of the mature nuclear family farmers are willing to withdraw from their homestead.78.85% of the expanding family Ⅰ farmers are willing to withdraw from the homestead,58.33% of the expanding family Ⅱ farmers are willing to withdraw from the homestead, and 55.88% of the shrinking family farmers are willing to withdraw from the homestead.(2)The comprehensive score of the functional demand degree of the farmer’s homestead in the study area is 3.013,and the overall evaluation is “uncertain”.The comprehensive score of the functional demand degree of the farmer’s homestead in different life cycles from high to low is the expanding family Ⅱ,shrinking family, and mature core.Family,Extended Family Ⅰ and Growing Nuclear Family.(3)The key factors affecting the willingness of farmers to quit their homesteads in the study area are family life cycle, residential security function, production and operation function, house service life and living environment satisfaction.Further grouping tests are carried out,and the results are as follows: the growing nuclear family farmers are mainly affected by the housing security function;the mature nuclear family farmers are mainly negatively affected by the economic property function;the expanding family Ⅰ farmers are mainly affected by the production and management function.Expanding family Ⅱ farmers are mainly affected by the positive impact of production and management functions and psychological and emotional functions, the negative impact of ecological livable functions, the negative impact of per capita arable land area, and the negative impact of annual total family income in the support burden;shrinking families Farmers are mainly affected by the positive impact of housing security function and production and management function and the negative impact of per capita arable land area.(4)Tested whether the mediating effect of homestead functional demand exists. The results show that housing security function and psycho-emotional function meet the conditions of joint significance test, and the mediating effect can be partially verified.(5)The key factors affecting the compensation mode for farmers’ homestead exit in the study area are economic property function, ecological livable function, whether to purchase urban commercial housing, exit risk perception, and living environment satisfaction. On this basis, the group test was further carried out,and the results were as follows: the growing nuclear family farmers were mainly positively affected by the economic property function, and secondly were negatively affected by the ecological livability function and whether to purchase urban commercial housing;the mature nuclear family farmers were generally affected by the same There is not much difference between the growing nuclear family farmers, and the main difference is reflected in the ecological livability function. The former is not affected by the ecological livability function;the expanding family Ⅰ farmers are mainly affected by policy cognition and risk perception;Family Ⅱ farmers are mainly negatively affected by production and management functions and psychological and emotional functions, negatively affected by the proportion of non-agricultural labor and the education level of household heads, and positively affected by the total annual family income and urbanization willingness;Similar to farmers, shrinking family farmers are also negatively affected by ecological livability function, but in terms of psycho-emotional function, they are the opposite of expanding family Ⅱ farmers, which are positively affected and negatively affected by living environment satisfaction.(6)The key factors that affect the compensation amount for homestead exit of farmers in different life cycles are as follows: the proportion of non-agricultural labor force of growing core family farmers, the education level of the household head, the satisfaction of living environment, production and operation functions, and exit risk perception;mature core family The number of children, the education level of the head of the family, the satisfaction of the living environment, the total annual income of the family and the psychological and emotional function of the family farmers;the age of the head of the family Ⅰ,the satisfaction of the living environment, the housing security function, the exit risk perception and the non-agricultural labor force Proportion;expanding family Ⅱ farmers are the exit risk perception, ecological livability function, psychological and emotional function, household head education level and housing security function;shrinking family farmers are living security function, economic property function, ecological livability function, living environment Satisfaction and educational attainment of household heads.(7)Based on the above findings, the following countermeasures are proposed:(1)Strengthen the publicity of the exit policy and increase the participation of the growing core family farmers;(2)Promote employment placement with multiple measures to help expand the smooth transition of the family Ⅰ farmers;(3)Improve the social security system to solve the worries of the expanded family Ⅱ farmers;(4)Guarantee the legitimate rights and interests of farmers and respect the will of the shrinking family farmers;(5)Improve the exit compensation system to meet the needs of farmers with different life cycles;(6)Improve the exit laws and regulations, and build a work mechanism for the aftermath of exit.
