At present, accelerating the building of a new development pattern is an important measure to implement the new development philosophy, which concerns systemic and deep-seated changes in the overall situation. We must accelerate the building by focusing on the intranational cycle and reinforcing the intranational and international cycles. This is also one of the most important strategic plans for China at present, and it requires that we focus on the present and look to the future. Therefore,in order to expand domestic demand,we must pay more attention to the coexistence of quantity and quality. The quality of export products is a major reflection of the competitiveness of the international market, and the academic circle began to study it again.Although the analysis of factors affecting the quality of export products is mostly carried out from the perspective of production factors, trade costs, especially intranational trade costs, can not be ignored.Due to the severe segmentation of Chinese market, the cost of intranational trade is very high, which causes a great barrier to interregional trade, and further restrains the export product quality of enterprises. Therefore, building a unified large domestic market, promoting the further reduction of intranational trade costs, and promoting the pace of intranational large circulation will be the only way for China to achieve high-quality development in the future. This thesis takes the relationship between intranational trade cost and export product quality as the research object, respectively calculates the core variables, and conducts an empirical study on the relationship between the two.First, this thesis calculates the intranational trade costs of 31 provinces(municipalities)from 2000 to 2021 at the provincial level, mainly using the price index method. After calculation,it is found that the intranational trade costs show an obvious downward trend during the measurement period, and the market gradually tends to be integrated, although there is a slight increase in the short term. But the degree of marketization of domestic products has been greatly improved.Secondly, through the quantitative analysis of export product quality,it is concluded that the overall development trend of China’s export product quality is a fluctuating growth process. The empirical part is based on the panel data of micro enterprises in 29 provinces(municipalities)from 2000 to 2007.The core conclusions are as follows:At present, intranational trade costs have a reverse inhibition effect on the quality improvement of enterprises’ export products.By analyzing whether the above relationship exists between intranational trade costs and the quality of export products by the test of robustness and endogeneity,we get a positive conclusion, which indicates that,to some extent, our intranational trade costs will indeed produce a negative effect on the quality of export products of our foreign trade enterprises. From the perspective of mechanism test, intranational trade costs will have an impact on the quality improvement of enterprises’ export products through three channels:enterprise innovation level, intermediate product input and resource allocation efficiency.Through the heterogeneity study,it is found that the intranational trade cost has a significant impact on the quality of enterprises’ export products due to the influence of trade mode, enterprise ownership, factor intensity, region and other factors. On this basis, from the aspects of regional market integration, transportation infrastructure investment, encouraging enterprise R&D innovation, optimizing the performance evaluation system, the corresponding policy suggestions and countermeasures are provided for Chinese enterprises to improve the quality of export products.
