Since the construction of Hefei Science Center,regional innovation-driven high-tech industrial agglomeration development has become more and more significant,but the gap between the regional innovation capacity of other cities in Anhui Province and Hefei City has been further widened,which to a certain extent has caused the uneven level of development of high-tech industries between regions in Anhui Province,the decline in the growth rate of output value and the lack of significant agglomeration effect.Therefore,in the process of deep integration into the Yangtze River Delta,Anhui Province needs to build and improve the regional innovation system to promote the agglomeration development of high-tech industries and eventually promote the high-quality economic development.This paper uses hierarchical analysis and entropy method to comprehensively evaluate the regional innovation capacity of each city in Anhui Province in terms of innovation environment,input,output,efficiency and performance,in order to identify the innovation shortcomings of each city for precise measures;then,through EG index and location entropy,the balanced degree of spatial distribution of high-tech industries and the difference of agglomeration level of each city are investigated,and the convergence analysis of the difference trend among regions is also conducted;subsequently,Granger causality test is conducted to verify the two-way interaction between regional innovation capability and high-tech industrial agglomeration;finally,the GMM regression model is used to analyze the promotion role of regional innovation capability on the development of high-tech industrial agglomeration under the perspective of the two-way interaction.The study shows that:(1)The overall regional innovation capacity of Anhui Province is weak and the development is seriously unbalanced,and the innovation shortcomings of some cities stand out and seriously affect their overall strength;geographically,the regional innovation capacity shows a distribution centered on Hefei City,with a high level in the east and a low level in the west and decreasing in the northsouth circle;between 2015 and 2020,the leading pattern of cities,led by Hefei City,Wuhu City and Maanshan City,gradually tends to stabilize.(2)The spatial layout of high-tech industries in Anhui Province shows a tendency of dispersing from the central agglomeration area to the surrounding area,and the overall geographical distribution shows a trend of decaying in the north-south direction with Hefei City and Wuhu City as the center;the differences in the agglomeration degree of high-tech industries in each region keep narrowing and there is a significant trend of β absolute convergence.(3)Regional innovation capacity and high-tech industry agglomeration are highly correlated and have Granger causality;under the perspective of two-way interaction,regional innovation capacity has a significant role in promoting high-tech industry agglomeration;there is a significant "snowball effect" in the process of high-tech industry agglomeration development;the contribution of systematic regional innovation capacity to the level of high-tech industrial agglomeration is more obvious than that of a single indicator;foreign direct investment,research funding investment and economic development level can significantly promote high-tech industry agglomeration development.However,due to the siphon effect of Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Shanghai on high-level science and technology innovation talents in Anhui Province and the tendency of heterogeneous structure of science and technology innovation talents,the investment of scientific researchers has not yet played a positive role in promoting the development of high-tech industrial agglomeration for the time being.Figure [19] table [20] reference [97]... |
