Under the background of 21st century’s globalization,with unprecedented upheaval,small and middle-sized enterprises are facing new competition pattern s and various challenges.How to survive from the market competition,or even pursue better development,is greatly relied on a group of creative and professional middle management.So it is necessary for these enterprises to have research on developing a reasonable incentive mechanism to satisfy different needs of middle management.And also resist the pressure from being sandwiched between the superior and subordinate,and improve the motivation and performance for middle management.Further more,inspire continuous enthusiasm and creativity for enterprise’s healthy and stable development.This thesis is based on the research of incentive mechanism theory and trends of incentive management for these enterprises.It targeted at improving the incentive mechanism of the middle managers at Binghuang Food Company Limited.This thesis describes Binghuang’s basic development,the condition of human resources and the construction features of middle management.It also generalizes current situation of incentive mechanism of the middle managers at this company,and content of different incentives,including material,spiritual and working.At the same time,through the questionnaire survey of the middle management,it finds out th e problems of current incentive mechanism and reasons of it.According to certain design objectives and principles,it proposes improving program on incentive mechanism of three aspects,which are material,spiritual and work motivation.After that,it devises corresponding measures to ensure the implementation of the new incentive mechanism.On the other hand,this thesis conducts another questionnaire survey on the middle management for relevant feedback.And also,it makes a prospect evaluation on the implementation of the new mechanism by the results of the survey and the actual changes of the company.By selecting one of the small and medium-sized enterprises-Binghuang as the study case,this thesis puts forward improving incentive program for middle management’s development,which provides reference value for this company.In the mean time,it may be of certain reference signif icance to enterprises of the same type,in the aspects like how to analyzing the psychological needs of the middle management and proposing improving measures by using modern scientific management methods.
