Research On The Impact And Measurement Of Industrial Digitalization On The High Quality Development Of China’s Economy

The report of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that high-quality development is the primary task of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way.Adhering to the theme of promoting high-quality economic development and realizing the transformation of the economy from large to strong is the key to solving the major social contradictions at this stage of China,and is also the inevitable requirement of comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese path to modernization.Industrial digitization refers to the optimization and upgrading of traditional industries using digital technology,achieving production and organizational changes in traditional industries.It has become an increasingly important force for countries around the world to transform the old and new driving forces of economic development.In this context,objectively and reasonably measuring and evaluating the level of industrial digitization and high-quality economic development in various regions of China,analyzing the impact of industrial digitization on high-quality economic development,has certain theoretical and practical significance for China to better enhance the level of industrial digitization and promote high-quality economic development in the new era.Based on the above issues,this article follows the analytical paradigm of "problem orientation analysis framework research design empirical testing policy recommendations",focusing on the impact mechanism and empirical testing of industrial digitization on high-quality economic development.The main work includes:first,constructing a theoretical analysis framework for the impact of industrial digitization on innovation,coordination,green,open,and shared development in five dimensions of high-quality economic development.On the basis of reviewing relevant research literature on industrial digitization and high-quality economic development,the concepts of the two are defined.Starting from the connotation of high-quality development that reflects the new development concept,the impact mechanism of industrial digitization on five dimensions of economic innovation,coordination,green,open,and shared development is theoretically analyzed.The impact path of industrial digitization on regional differentiation of high-quality development is explored in three major regions:East,West,and East.Secondly,the entropy weight method is used to measure and evaluate the level of industrial digitization and high-quality economic development in China.16 specific indicators were selected from five dimensions to construct an industrial digitization evaluation index system,and 21 specific indicators were selected from five dimensions of the new development concept to construct an economic high-quality development evaluation index system.The entropy weight method was used to measure the industrial digitization level and economic high-quality development index of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2006 to 2020.Thirdly,based on the System Generalized Moment Estimation(GMM)model,we empirically test the overall impact of industrial digitization on high-quality economic development at the national level,as well as the five dimensions of high-quality development that reflect new development concepts.We also empirically test the degree of impact of industrial digitization on high-quality economic development in the three major regions of the East,West,and Central regions.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)From a national perspective,the impact of industrial digitization on high-quality economic development is positively significant.Every unit of increase in industrial digitization level can promote a 0.0740 unit increase in the high-quality economic development index.(2)From a multidimensional perspective,industrial digitization has a positive and significant impact on economic innovation,coordinated development,and open development,but its impact on green development and shared development is not significant.(3)From a regional perspective,the digitalization of industries in the central region has the strongest driving effect on high-quality economic development,followed by the eastern region,and the weakest driving effect is in the western region.Several policy suggestions are proposed for theoretical analysis and empirical research.First,we should attach great importance to the role of industrial digitalization in promoting high-quality economic development and actively promote industrial Digital transformation.Second:Insist on implementing the innovation driven development strategy,and enhance innovation capability to provide power for high-quality development and industrial Digital transformation.Third:formulate policies for high-quality regional differentiated development and industrial Digital transformation to promote regional coordinated development.
