Under the tide of economic globalization, regional economy is developing towards integration. With the increasingly fierce market competition, the relationship between countries, regions, and cities has become increasingly close, and the division of labor in society has become increasingly refined. All of these are promoting the idea of cooperation to gradually permeate various industries.Tourism, with its advantages, has gradually developed into a new economic growth point for various countries.Driven by this trend, many countries, regions, and cities have begun to embark on the path of cooperative tourism development.Since the 1990 s,the rapid development of the domestic tourism industry has led to competition among various industries. After experiencing the competition for routes and scenic spots,we are now entering a competitive period of regional tourism again. In order to compete for greater market share, various provinces and cities have embarked on a development path with the goal of "win-win".In 2010,Yunnan proposed to "create a new pattern of urban economic development in the central Yunnan region, and create a" bridge "and"hub "for the country to the southwest region. In March 2011,Kunming City signed the "Framework Agreement for Promoting Integrated Development Cooperation" with Qujing City,Yuxi City, and Chuxiong Prefecture, marking the substantive stage of the development of the "Central Yunnan Economic Zone".The central Yunnan region has always been the political, economic, and cultural center of Yunnan, with four prefectures and cities,Kunming,Yuxi,Qujing, and Chuxiong, accounting for 40%and 60% of the total population and economic scale of Yunnan, respectively, and playing a pivotal role in the economic and social development of Yunnan. This article selects the Central Yunnan Economic Zone as the research object.Based on existing literature,it systematically elaborates on the basic concepts of regional tourism cooperation, and selects symbiosis theory,push-pull theory and Game theory as the theoretical support for the subsequent discussion.Analyzed the driving force and basic conditions of regional tourism cooperation in the Central Yunnan Economic Zone;Based on the push pull theory, the regional tourism cooperation situation in the Central Yunnan Economic Zone was analyzed and evaluated from three aspects: regional tourism push, pull, and resistance;Secondly, explore and analyze the obstacles to regional tourism cooperation in the Central Yunnan Economic Zone, and based on the symbiotic theory as the guiding framework, sort out and propose cooperation strategies from three aspects: symbiotic units, symbiotic models, and symbiotic environment. The results show that the development of tourism economy among the states and cities in the Central Yunnan Economic Zone is unbalanced, and the tourism cooperation in the region is also mainly concentrated in Kunming, with less cooperation among other cities and shallow cooperation depth;Secondly, there are currently few research results on tourism cooperation in the Central Yunnan Economic Zone, but there is a strong desire for tourism cooperation among various states and cities, which constitute a unique advantage in carrying out regional tourism cooperation.Based on interviews with some relevant practitioners,it was found that there are many obstacles in cooperation; Finally,in the strategy of regional tourism cooperation in the Central Yunnan Economic Zone,it is proposed to build a model of regional tourism cooperation and symbiosis, strengthen the promotion of cooperation among regional tourism symbiotic entities, and strengthen the construction of regional symbiotic environment.Specific optimization strategies have been made for each aspect. To strengthen the efficiency and achievements of regional tourism cooperation in the Central Yunnan Economic Zone.
