The world today is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century.Factors such as the Russia-Ukraine war,the COVID-19 pandemic,the disruption of global supply chains and the intensification of geopolitical conflicts have made the global market environment increasingly complex and uncertain,and the business competition landscape increasingly fierce.The stable globalization environment of the past three decades has been broken.Under such circumstances,how should enterprises establish competitive advantage becomes an urgent problem to be solved.This paper mainly discusses the internal mechanism of the interaction between dynamic capability and firm strategy on the competitive advantage of multinational firms.Since the ultimate goal of the two is the same,and the enterprise as a whole cannot completely separate the two,this paper studies the two together in an attempt to show more clearly how multinational enterprises cultivate their competitive advantages and achieve a dominant position.Under this problem,there are two sub-problems in this paper,that is,how dynamic capability and enterprise strategy connect and cooperate with each other in transnational enterprises;And how they change with the changes of the enterprise.Strategy and dynamic capability are the key factors affecting the formation of competitive advantage,but most of the existing researches are based on the unilateral study of competitive advantage.At the same time,in order to better analyze the interaction mechanism between strategy and capability,this paper further divides strategy into strategic core and strategic initiatives.Combined with the longitudinal single case study method,this paper selects General Electric Group(GE)as the research object,breaks down the development of GE Group in the past 30 years into four stages,constructs the interaction model of strategy and dynamic capability,and obtains the evolution mechanism of enterprise competitive advantage.The results show that:(1)Competitive advantage develops based on environment and resources;(2)The core of enterprise strategy plays a guiding role in the development of competitive advantage;(3)Strategy constitutes the skeletal system of competitive advantage,and dynamic capability constitutes the flesh-and-blood system of competitive advantage;(4)The competitive advantage of enterprises is developed through the two stages of planning and execution;(5)Competitive advantage has the characteristics of correlation.This paper discusses the evolution of competitive advantage based on the growth process of large American multinational enterprises,hoping to provide some inspiration for the development of competitive advantage of local enterprises.Finally,according to the conclusion of the paper,the author puts forward some policy suggestions.
