Electronic components(IC) are basic products widely used in electronic information industry, the rapid growth of electronic components industry greatly contributed to the rapid development of China’s electronic information industry. IC distribution enterprises connecting upstream manufacturers and downstream customers, play a very important role in the IC industry chain, its operating efficiency will have a significant impact on the development of electronics manufacturers. With the continuous development and growth of electronic information industry, electronic components and its distribution industry play an important supporting role in China’s national economy.With economic globalization and integration, information technology are booming. IC distribution enterprises faced with operating environment have demonstrate great changes. market competition is fierce, and become more dynamic and complex:market demands change too fast, customer purchasing behavior is not standardized, production and distribution technology updates rapidly, resources mobility growing, products are upgraded frequently, customer consume habits and needs increasingly diverse and are uncertain.which increase the difficulty of developing new customers base, the costs of human resources increased gradually improved. And overseas large-scale distributors are eyeing to speed up the pace of entering IC market in China, eager to seize market share and compete for customer resources. The profits and survival of domestic IC distributors severely squeezed. All these indicate that the market competitive environment no longer has the static stability of nature, and become difficult to control. Facing fierce and complex competition, how to take competitive strategy to achieve good corporate sustainable development in dynamic and complex market environment? How to build a sustainable competitive advantage? This is the primary problem in front of IC distributors, and also the focus issues of this paper to be solved.However, the current foreign IC distribution market is relatively mature, less competitive, so the corresponding research is relatively few. At present, there are very few specialized research in this area in china, domestic IC distributors has no clear understanding on the current situation and future development trend. There are few studies of sustainable competitive advantage has dabbled in IC distribution enterprises, previous studies (Feiliu Li,2003; Dingbing Xue,2006; YanpengYang,2006; Lingli Zhou, Han Yi,2007; Qinghua Shi,2008; Hongbin Li,2008; Tian Hao,2009;) mostly confined to analyze the development of IC distribution enterprises from a single aspect, focusing on a particular point of view (such as the development of new customers, customer relationships and customer loyalty, supply chain management, general competitive strategy, competence of staff key positions), while ignoring the competition rules, the nature, the market environment of IC distribution enterprises which are undergoing profound changes, the uncertainty continue to strengthen in the process of distribution business. Former researches have analyzed mostly from a static level, the studies of IC distributors development have less form dynamic level, this research based on static perspective has been increasingly unable to meet the changing, highly competitive distribution market environment, and the guidance on distributors sustainable development have significant limitations, and therefore IC distribution business needs to build a new competitive advantage and explore new sources of competitive advantage in a dynamic environment.In this paper, based on the theory of dynamic capabilities and sustainable competitive advantage, take Porter’s five forces model and SWOT analysis tools, for the status and competitive characteristics of IC distribution enterprises, combine with comparative analysis of competitive strategies of the world’s leading IC distributor, full-value analyze the dynamic capabilities of IC distributors from the market, resources, learning, flexibility, value innovation and other aspects, study and propose of sustainable competitive strategy system of IC distributors based on dynamic capabilities, take LY as an example to carry out the empirical research, to provide useful reference to take targeted competitive strategy in a dynamic complex environment for other IC distribution enterprises.The main contents of this paper are as following:(1) The analysis of status and problems for domestic IC distribution enterprises:Firstly, analyze the specialization of IC distribution enterprises, and secondly discuss the status and competitive characteristics of domestic IC distribution enterprises, finally, summarize the competitive status and existing problems of domestic IC distribution enterprises.(2) Comparative analysis of competitive strategies of foreign well-known IC distribution enterprise:Comparative analysis of competitive strategies for foreign well-known IC authorized distributors, independent distributors, catalog distributors respectively, which provide learning experience to propose this sustainable competitive strategy system.(3) The choice of sustainable competitive strategy for China IC distribution enterprises: Based on the theory of dynamic capabilities and sustainable competitive advantage, we discuss problems in sustainable development for China’s electronic components distribution enterprises, to resolve the composition of its dynamic capabilities in all directions, and furtherly proposed sustainable competitive strategy system of IC distribution enterprises.(4) The case study of LY:Apply the established sustainable competitive strategy system of IC distribution enterprises to the case study, to provide useful reference to take targeted competitive strategy in a dynamic complex environment for other IC distribution enterprises.The originality of this paper lies in two points. Firstly. Former researches have analyzed mostly from a single level, this paper analyzes the composition of dynamic capability for IC distribution enterprises from the market, resources, learning, flexibility and value innovation.Secondly, Predecessor’s competitive research of IC distribution enterprises most based on the static perspective and there are few studies of sustainable competitive advantage has dabbled in IC distribution enterprises. This paper will enhance its research to the dynamic level, analyze influencing factors of sustainable competitive advantage for IC distribution enterprises based on the dynamic capabilities perspective, build a sustainable competitive strategy system, provide a theoretical guidance and basic ideas for sustainable development of IC distribution industry.
