| With the completion of the first centennial goal of China,the economy has also changed from high-speed development to high-quality development,and entering a new stage of development is an inevitable result.However,under the new development stage,the construction demand supported by our country,that is,the construction of ’ two new and one heavy ’,is difficult to fit well with the conventional construction mode.Therefore,it is inevitable to promote the EPC mode that emphasizes efficiency,cost saving,integration and innovation.In fact,traditional engineering projects still use goal realization as a measure of project success,but this framework also faces many difficulties under the new development stage of " people-oriented," while the new value-driven framework is emerging.At the same time,the importance of governance to promote the success of engineering projects is also increasing.In view of this,this study will consider how to apply various governance methods based on the new valuedriven framework,so as to promote the successful completion of EPC projects.(1)Based on literature analysis and expert interviews,the grounded theory is used to construct the concept and dimension of value delivery in EPC projects.Firstly,this study refines the expression of the value of engineering projects by different scholars in the academic circle,and further defines the value based on the existing research results of my research team.Secondly,it analyzes the research on the value dimension of the project,and obtains the six value dimensions,that is,economy,society,ecology,relationship,ability and politics and the subdivision content under each dimension.After interviews with four EPC project experts and coding the interview data,the concept and dimension of EPC project value delivery are finally obtained.(2)Determine the key governance means in EPC projects in China.Firstly,the research on governance means in the field of engineering is analyzed.It is found that project governance can be summarized into three aspects: contract governance,relationship governance and administrative governance.The role of governance means in project performance / value is analyzed.It is found that it is particularly important for engineering projects to apply matching governance means for different situational factors.Considering that the signing of EPC project contract is mainly supported by the relevant documents issued by the state,the text analysis is used to analyze the relevant policy documents,thus confirming the common contract governance means in the EPC project in China.The identification of relationship governance and administrative governance is mainly through the design of interview outline based on literature analysis results,and then through interviews with four EPC project experts.Finally,the opinions of many practitioners are collected through questionnaire survey,thus confirming the key governance means in EPC projects in China.(3)The fsQCA method is used to obtain a combination of governance methods to improve the value delivery of EPC projects in different situations.Firstly,the method of fsQCA is studied and prepared,and the specific measurement of each variable,the idea of questionnaire design,the recovery and processing of data are given.Secondly,the formal fsQCA analysis is carried out,that is,necessity analysis,adequacy analysis and robustness analysis.Based on this,five governance paths to improve the value delivery of EPC projects are obtained,and the combination of three governance means is proposed for the practice of EPC projects in China. |
