| Fresh companies play a critical role in agricultural product market,especially during the impact of COVID-19 pandemic when fresh companies have made important contribution to the supply of agricultural products.However,consumers have also put forward higher requirements on the way of purchasing fresh agricultural products,the quality of products and the convenience of purchasing.Fresh companies have to continuously improve their management and service,and optimize operations management modes to adapt to the needs of new situation and satisfy people’s growing individualized demands.Hunan LY Fresh Company is a multi-business fresh chain company.It has been engaged in the production and marketing of fresh agricultural products for many years and has a good reputation in the industry.But due to the excessive expansion of business,Hunan LY Fresh Company now are facing the challenges of its weaknesses in operation and management which have hindered the fast growth of the company.It is in urgent need to optimize the operation and management modes and to promote operational efficiency and increase benefits.Through field researches at the headquarter,production bases,suppliers,and customers of Hunan LY Fresh Company,this paper summarizes the operation and management modes of the company,and analyzes the main problems existing in its operation and management which are the purchasing standards have not been followed strictly;warehousing and storage have not been operated in accordance with the standards;the costs of logistics and distribution are too high;marketing channels are not complete;and store operation and management need to be improved.And the main causes for these problems include imperfect system and flow,incomplete stimulus and evaluation policies,low level of informatization,underemphasis of on-line marketing and inadequate input of fund etc.Targeting these problems,phenomena and causes,this paper proposes several countermeasures as follows:improving management system and operations mechanism,strictly implementing management process operations,carrying out online and offline integrated business,strengthening the construction of informatization,and optimizing logistics and distribution management etc,which will help the company operate more efficiently and outperform others in the fierce market competitions. |
