| The proposal of high-quality development marks a new stage in China’s economy.The focus of economic development has shifted from the speed of development to the quality of development,while the focus of development quality mainly focuses on contradictions and issues in the development process.The main contradiction in China’s society is the contradiction between the people’s growing need for a better life and unbalanced and inadequate development.This means that following the path of high-quality development requires adhering to the people-centered development philosophy,resolving the current main contradiction in society,meeting the people’s expectations for a better life,and promoting common prosperity for all people.In this context,clarifying the current situation of China’s residents’ living standards and exploring the current situation of high-quality development of regional economy from the perspective of residents’ quality of life has extremely important theoretical and practical significance for resolving major social contradictions,promoting high-quality development of China’s regional economy,and effectively improving the quality of life of residents.Firstly,this paper constructs an evaluation index system of residents’ quality of life from four dimensions of economic development,infrastructure,survival and development and environmental factors,and uses entropy weight method to estimate and analyze the comprehensive index of residents’ quality of life in 31 provinces of China during 2017-2021.After that,the paper measures and analyzes the current efficiency of regional economic development in China,and discusses the current situation of high-quality development of regional economy in China from two dimensions of life quality and economic development under the guidance of economic development efficiency.Next,based on the regional economic development indicator system,the concept of oriented output is introduced,combining the weight restriction idea with the DEA cross efficiency model,and using the comprehensive index of residents’ quality of life to evaluate and analyze the current high-quality development of China’s regional economy from the perspective of provinces and regions.Finally,the high-quality development efficiency of regional economy from the perspective of quality of life is compared with the comprehensive index of residents’ quality of life and regional economic development efficiency to further clarify the importance of quality of life in the process of promoting high-quality development of economy.These results indicate that the quality of life of residents in about 70% of Chinese provinces is lower than the national average,and the overall quality of life is low,but the distribution of quality of life index is relatively concentrated,However,the distribution of the quality of life index is relatively concentrated,close to the average level,with small differences between provinces.In the process of measuring residents’ quality of life index,the dimension of survival and development from the perspective of individual residents involves the largest number of indicators and the highest average weight.After entering the stage of high-quality development,there is a positive correlation between the quality of life index and regional economic development efficiency,and the correlation is gradually enhanced,but there are still some provinces that show great imbalance between the quality of life and economic development.The quality of life of residents is a very important factor in promoting the high-quality development of regional economy.Besides,the scale of economic development and input-output structure of each province are also important.Based on the above conclusions,this paper proposes to promote high-quality regional development and effectively improve residents’ life quality in China by strengthening regional coordinated development,insisting that economic development serves people’s well-being,and optimizing economic development model. |
