The Impact Of Rural Tourism Development On Farmers’ Livelihood

Rural tourism is a "sunrise industry" and "environmental protection and green industry" with broad prospects and unlimited potential.In recent years,the development of rural tourism in China has distinctive characteristics,rich and diverse,and is very active.Effectively promoting the development of rural tourism and improving the livelihood of farmers is conducive to the early realization of Rural Revitalization..therefore,Country tourism is of great significance for the rejuvenation of the country,and it is also necessary to study the impact of country tourism development on the livelihood of farmers.This study,based on a large number of relevant literatures at home and abroad,comprehensively combs the contents related to the development of country tourism and the livelihood of farmers.By selecting six townships in Xining as the study area,we conducted a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview,collected data from field survey,and performed data processing and empirical analysis,from which we derived a scale system including farmers’ participation in rural tourism development behaviors,farmers’ livelihood capital and farmers’ livelihood strategies,then explored the livelihood impact caused by farmers’ participation in rural tourism development in Xinning,and then,based on structural equation modeling,used spss22 0 and amos22 0 software conducted hypothesis testing on the data.The results of data analysis show that rural tourism development has a significant positive relationship with the livelihood of farmers in Xinning County,and from the empirical analysis,it is known that rural tourism development has a profound impact on the livelihood problems of farmers,and the development of rural tourism is an effective way to improve the livelihood status of farmers.The results of this paper show that three factors,including the mode of participating in rural tourism development,the length of participation,and the number of participants,are generally explanatory of farmers’ participation behavior,whereas two factors,information on participation and the ability to participate,can better explain this potential variable of farmers’ participation behavior.Second,all the research hypotheses related to the farmers’ participation behavior,livelihood capital and livelihood strategies were verified and passed by significance.Finally,material capital and social capital,two types of livelihood capital,are the main factors influencing rural tourism development,while human capital is the secondary factor influencing rural tourism development.This paper finds,through the survey,that the following negative factors exist for farmers’ involvement in rural tourism development: the small number of farmers’ involvement in rural tourism development,the poor understanding of farmers’ involvement in rural tourism,the lack of initiating funds for farmers’ involvement in rural tourism development,and the low degree of farmers’ involvement in rural tourism development.Therefore,corresponding countermeasures are proposed,which can further promote rural tourism development and increase the yield of farmers’ Households by enhancing their ability to participate,enhancing the effectiveness of the farmers’ participation behaviour,expanding the strength of financial capital support,enhancing the introduction of country tourism talents and enhancing the social capital of the farmers.
