| From the perspective of economic development and social progress,scientific and technological innovation is a powerful driving force for continuous progress in all industries.Since the 18 th Party Congress,China has made significant achievements in various fields and stepped into the ranks of innovative countries.However,agriculture as a basic industry to meet the basic needs of the people,but still not enough attention to the development of the level of agricultural science and technology,this status quo is not only not conducive to the level of agricultural technology in China’s innovation drive,but also not conducive to the long-term development trend of China’s agricultural economic level for the better.Therefore,how to promote the long-term stable growth of agricultural economy through the development of agricultural technology innovation in China is an urgent matter to accelerate the process of agricultural modernization in China.This article aims to explore the mechanism of agricultural technology innovation’s impact on potential agricultural output through empirical analysis,grasp the temporal and spatial characteristics of agricultural technology innovation development,and use policy measures to improve the downward trend of agricultural potential economic development level.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China(except Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and Tibet)from 1997 to 2020,this study uses the HP filtering method to measure the potential agricultural output,describe the distribution characteristics of China’s potential agricultural output and agricultural technology innovation level,and explore the impact of China’s agricultural technology innovation level on the potential agricultural output level by constructing a two-way fixed effect model and a spatial Durbin model.Research shows that:(1)The overall potential economic output level of agriculture in China shows a continuous increasing trend,but the potential economic growth rate of agriculture has been decreasing year by year since 2011,and there is a problem of insufficient development potential.(2)The level of agricultural technology innovation in China is also showing a continuous increasing trend,with a very strong development momentum.However,from the overall level,there is a strong spatial imbalance problem.(3)The innovation of agricultural technology in this province has a significant positive promoting effect on the development of the potential economic level of agriculture,and agricultural technology innovation has a strong spatial autocorrelation;(4)The indirect effects of agricultural technology innovation under two spatial weight matrices are much greater than the direct effects,indicating that the potential economic output of agriculture in this province is mainly achieved through the spatial spillover effects of agricultural technology innovation in neighboring provinces.Based on the above conclusions,in order to promote the growth of potential agricultural output in China,attention should be paid to cultivating the basic research and development capabilities of agricultural researchers and non researchers,increasing investment in agricultural technology innovation related research,solving the problem of uneven and insufficient development,creating a good research environment,promoting the healthy development of the technology innovation market,improving the government protection system and support policies,and encouraging the development of technology innovation level in a good and fast manner. |
