By analyzing and researching the reconstruction project of precipitators in ZhujiangPower Plant, the background, the equipment status, the process contrast, the process selection,the design and plan, the construction, the effect evaluation and so on, this article describes amethod for coal-fired power plants to meet the latest special limitation.Analysis of the latest special limitation for dust in a thermal power plant and the status ofelectrostatic precipitators show that Zhujiang Power Plant must implement the reconstructionproject. Research on the reconstruction project of electrostatic precipitators in the industryshow there are three primary methods: improving electrostatic precipitators, changing to bagfilters or changing to electrostatic fabric filter. Analysis of process contrast of thoseprecipitators and the quality of coal show the applicable methods are changing to bag filtersor changing to electrostatic fabric filter. By analyzing the specific conditions and needs of thereconstruction project, the best method is changing electrostatic precipitators to bag filters.At this article, the scheme of reconstruction project is studied: bag filters take the placeof electrostatic precipitators in the retained shell, the output of induced draft fans areincreased, air compressors are increased. The construction site and content are analyzed, thekey and difficult points of the work are funded, and the solutions are proposed. Afteranalyzing the working condition of equipments,the proposals for improvement aboutequipment running are presented. The test reports of equipment performance, collectionefficiency and bag material are analyzed; the economic benefits and environmental benefitsare analyzed. The reconstruction project is successful and effective.This study shows that, by changing electrostatic precipitators to bag filters, collectionefficiency is able to be more than99.9%, dust emission concentration is able to be less than20mg/Nm3, dust emission of coal-fired units is able to meet the latest special limitation.This article provides a reference for other thermal power plant to implement thereconstruction project of electrostatic precipitators.
