Shotcrete support plays an important role in the coal mine support. While, in some small and medium-sized coal mines, the mixing and feeding work of shotcrete are mostly completed by manual because of narrow roadway and limited space in mines. This operation affects the quality of shotcrete support due to the inefficient and uneven phenomenon. In order to realize the mechanization and automation of shotcrete mixing and feeding process, because of the repeated modification of structural parameters resulting to more work in the practical design process, low efficiency and long design cycle, this paper research on the parametric design for shotcrete feeding device by using secondary development of SolidWorks software.By using SolidWorks as parametric design platform and Visual Basic as the programming language, combined with the Access database, this paper study the parameters design of the shotcrete mixing and feeding device, and complete the whole parametric design system. This system was mainly divided into three modules:aided design calculation module, model parameterized module and automatic assembly module. The aided design calculation simplified the whole calculation process through programming for the whole design calculation; the model parameterized module realized the model establishment and update by program driven and dimension driven; the automatic assembly module added with constraints for each matching parts to make each parts automatically match. Through the interface of input parameters, it can realize the parameter fast calculation, the model updating and assembly automation. This method not only save the labor time but also improve the working efficiency.Shotcrete mixing and feeding parametric design system researched and developed in the paper, which combined with advanced technology such as computer aided design and parametric design, will implement the device design simplicity and efficiency, shorten the design cycle, improve the working efficiency, provides design reference for the similar mechanical product, has a certain popularization value.
