Presently, many die casting enterprises generally take the die casting machine as the center, the robot as the bridge, and integrate peripheral equipment to form a robot system which automatic casting-fetching, automatic spraying and automatic cutting. The device that can remove the gate of die castion is an important part of the robot system. The device is a series of products, mostly, it should be customized that based on the material and shape size of die castion, and the cross-sectional area of the gate. There is a lot of duplicated efforts. So it is of great practical significance for parametric design of gate removal device for die castion.In this paper, according to the requirement of parametric design of gate removal device for die castion and the problem of drawing file management in FengHan co.,LTD, the overall scheme of the system is determined by the requirement analysis. the mechanical analysis and verification of gate removal device for die castion are carried out, and the parametric model is established according to the parametric design requirements in SolidWorks. Combined with the parametric model and the formula of mechanical analysis and verification and used C++ development tools, secondary development of SolidWorks is carried out in Visual Studio 2010, so as to realize the design system of parametric. Then the finite element analysis and structure optimization of the key parts of the model are carried out. Finally, using Server SQL database to develop the design document management system, and realize the management of the company’s drawings. a system of parametric design and designed document management is designed. The system is applied in the company. It not only greatly shorten the design cycle of gate removal device for the die castion, but also make the management more convenient and safe.
