Nowadays, as a kind of furniture production tool, woodworking machine tool products of its processing capabilities goes with the customers’ demands. In developed countries, multi-purpose, high automation CNC machining centers have replaced a lot of low-end vintage woodworking machinery, furniture manufacturing industry in CNC woodworking fully reflect the center automation, multi-functional, flexible benefits. At present, the domestic part of the woodworking machinery enterprises have started to develop a proprietary CNC wood processing center, but the homemade CNC machining centers mostly wood based products, has not yet formed a series of products, and therefore they are of great development potential, and wide market. There are many companies and units of this new product design and adaptive to change shape design. Among them, the change is largely shaped design duplication, so they need a means to improve design efficiency and reduce duplication of effort.In this paper, a kind of Dongguan Nanxing Furniture Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a CNC machining center timber object, combined with computer-aided design theories and ideas, a problem that Solidworks secondary development needs to be solved, a problem that product design knowledge expression is needs to solved, and thus developed a utilization Parametric Technology product design knowledge-based automatic modeling, assembly systems, to meet the product design needs reshaping. Performance in the positive sense knowledge for the benefit of the product design heritage and training, reducing the threshold for designers; conducive to enable designers freed from duplication of effort put more effort invested in other creative design; conducive to respond quickly to customer needs and achieve in the interests of businesses and consumers win. The main research work is as follows:First introduced universal secondary development of CAD software, Solidworks and focuses on the secondary development of technology and methods for modeling and assembly for induction, Parametric Technology by mastering the theoretical basis of parametric design of product realization process, and are described in detail. Secondly, the researchers then CNC wood processing center design knowledge is mainly machining centers for wood products function principle, structural features, the design process are discussed. To product structure for the development of object, Solidworks2011for the development of three-dimensional modeling software platform, Visual Basic6.0development tools, Access2003database as a parameter storage, the development of timber processing center solutions search system and parametric design system.Finally, the use of good system design for a timber processing center CNC variable parameter design, through examples illustrate the feasibility of the system, the system has a relatively comply with industry designers accustomed to-use interface, full-featured, can greatly reduce the design workload and improve efficiency of product design, rapid response to customer design requirements.
