Rural left-behind children is a special social group produced in the social transformation period. The existing researches mainly focus on children's mental health, living situation, habits, etc. but rarely study on education intervention to train the specific social adaptation of left-behind children. Left-behind children grow up apart from parents and family support, so they usually couldn't understand other's support, then social adaptation difficulties occur. Therefore, sports intervention training can be used to enhance their understanding of social support, and to improve their social adaptation ability.This research follows the main line : problem posing- research making - status analysis - - study designing - research implementation - result and conclusion. The methodology contains literature data method, questionnaire survey method, experimental method. The left-behind children's development characteristics and the influence factors of social adaptation are discussed. The training system of teaching sports intervention, aiming to improve the level of left-behind children's social adaptation. The research offers reference and basis for left-behind students' psychological health education.The main conclusions as follows are:(1) The questionnaire survey of left-behind children's social adaptation level and the left-behind junior high students'social adjustment level show differences are significant: the level of left-home-kids'social adaptation is obviously lower than the level of left-behind junior high student's social adaptation.(2)Through the overall social adaptability contrast of left-behind children before and after the sports teaching experiment, we found that sports intervention can effectively intervene left-behind children's social adaptation crisis, the effect influence degree rank is: Ball games > Expand class project >field project > Track events.(3) The research shows the effect influence degree rank of sports intervention to social adaptation is : interpersonal adaptability > psychological control > mental energy > psychological resilience.
