The hydraulic support is the key equipment in fully mechanized coal face ofmechanization of coal mine. This paper is based on the current situation and developmenttrend of domestic and foreign hydraulic support product development, application and designmethod, aimed at the traditional design deficiencies and combined with the currentdevelopment trend of product design method, under VB development environment, takeSolidworks design software, Matlab software and ACCESS database as support, adoptobject-oriented design method to develop the CAD design platform for hydraulic support. Thedesign platform consists of five function modules such as the database module, analogoptimization module, overall stress analysis module, strength checking module and3Dparametric module.The database module including the selection of the hydraulic support, the managementand application of support technical parameters and structure parameters, at the same time thedatabase module is the link of the modeling module, the structure analyzing module and thesimulation analysis module; The optimization module using Matlab and VB mixedprogramming, take connecting rod force as the objective function to optimize the design ofsupport; The overall stress analysis module process the motion analysis and plane stressanalysis of optimized hydraulic support, mainly including the motion track of beam end andinstantaneous center, the calculation of connecting rod bearing and bottom plate specificpressure, then the calculation results was output in Excel form; The3D parametric modelingmodule utilizes skeleton pattern, the block is created in the sketch layout, the support partswas generated use blocks to eventually generating assembly, The entire model has achievedthe highly parametrization, and according to the bracket structure in database the parametercan process the real time update. Through the design of ZY8700/17/32hydraulic support and compared with the results ofthe traditional design, indicates that the CAD design platform has certain reference utility, theplatform introduce the database management to hydraulic support design process, provides amethod for standardization design of the hydraulic support parts.
