In China,with the gradual increase of mining strength,the high grade sulfide copper ore resources less and less.It is already the trend of the development and utilization of copper resources in China in the future,which is to improve the comprehensive utilization efficiency of the resources of the poor,fine and miscellaneous copper ores.In this paper,the detailed research on the mineralogy of the Gejiu refractory copper-tin polymetallic sulphide ore was studied,including multi-element analysis,phase analysis of the mineral,and based on the ore properties,the flotation technology of the copper was studied.Process mineralogy research shows that the main elements in the ore are Ca,Fe,Al,Mg,Cu,Sn,Si,S,K,etc.,the useful elements in the ore are Sn and Cu,the grade of the elements are 0.38%and 0.46%,respectively.The ore is composed of 31 kinds of minerals,of which,metal sulfide mainly pyrrhotite,pyrite,arsenopyrite and chalcopyrite,and a small amount of stannite,sphalerite,covellite and bismuthinite;Metal oxide is mainly hematite or limonite,followed by cassiterite,occasionally a small amount of magnetite;gangue minerals are mainly carbonate,quartz and silicate minerals,including quartz,calcite,diopside,mica,potash feldspar,dolomite,ferrosilite,silicon calcium stone,plagioclase,calcium calcium sodium feldspar,zoisite,tremolite,almandine,idocrase,tourmaline,sphene,etc.The Copper-bearing minerals are chalcopyrite,covellite and stannite 3 kinds.Copper mainly in the form of chalcopyrite,and copper in which the distribution rate of 93.49%;however,copper in the stannite and covellite in the distribution rate was only 3.53%and 2.98%,respectively.According to the ore properties for the recovery of sulfide flotation method for recycling,and then adopts copper and sulphur separation to production copper concentrate.The grinding fineness is set at-74?m accounted for 55%,under the condition for sulfide flotation operations.And the best dosage of the sodium silicate was identified as 800g/t,the appropriate collector choose the combination of isoamyl xanthate and Z200,the dose of the Z200 was identified as 120g/t by test,and amyl xanthate dose is 120g/t,a crude copper concentrate with grade is 2.09%and recovery rate is 87.97%was obtained.The re-grinding operation of the coarse concentrate was carried out using a rod mill for re-grinding of the copper concentrate to find a appropriate grinding fineness to achieve better separation and enrichment results,meanwhile,determine the pH value is 10 by adjust the dose of lime,the copper grade and recovery rate of the concentrate are comparatively ideal.A copper concentrate with grade was 14.02%and recovery was 80.91%was made by a closed-circuit test procedure of one stage roughing-two stage concentrate-two stage scavenging,and middlings returned orderly.It is of great practical significance for the comprehensive utilization of the polymetallic sulfide ore by the meticulous mineralogical research and related experimental research.
