With the development of mobile technology and the popularization of mobile terminals,the third party application program(APP)of English learning has emerged as the times require,so the learner's learning style has also undergone earth-shaking changes.Vocabulary is the basis of language learning and the premise of effective exchange and communication,while extracurricular learning as a supplement to the classroom learning,the combination with the mobile network makes vocabulary learning not limited to the traditional classroom learning,which fully embodies the individuation of learning.Under this background,this thesis explores a learning model which combines mobile learning based on intelligent mobile devices with English extracurricular learning in junior middle school.Based on the constructivism learning theory,situated cognition and learning theory and the theory of informal learning,the methods of questionnaire and interview are adopted to tries to answer the following questions:(1)As an auxiliary tool of English learning,can Mobile APP.improve students' autonomous learning ability?(2)What are the influencing factors that affect junior middle school students' use of mobile APP.?(3)How should teachers guide students in their extracurricular learning? In order to answer these three questions,140 students in the Class 1,Grade8 and Class 10,Grade 8 of Tianshui Yifu Experimental Middle School are taken as the research subjects.The mobile learning model is carried out to explore the possibility and effect of mobile learning based on intelligent mobile device in English extracurricular vocabulary learning.The questionnaire data collected before and after the application are compared and analyzed by SPSS 23.0.Through 16 weeks of experimental data,the extracurricular vocabulary learning model based on mobile application makes students more impressed on vocabulary in various forms and can improve the ability of students' English autonomous learning;Students' autonomous learning ability is affected by some other factors,mainly include students' learning interests,learning resources,perverseness and patience,time management ability,academic pressure of senior middle school entrance examination,and lack of self-control ability,as well as the strong consciousness of examination-oriented etc.So teachers should guide students' extracurricular learning,communicate with students,understand students' performance and provide timely evaluation and feedback.The results of the study provide practical experience and enlightenment for the application of mobile APP.in English extracurricular learning for junior middle school students,which is of great significance to the development of extracurricular English learning.However,in order to promote the effective development of mobile APP.in English extracurricular vocabulary learning,it can not be separated from teachers' effective guidance.Teachers need to strengthen the interaction and communication with students,and construction of an English extracurricular learning environment based on mobile APP is also necessary.In the end,the author reflects on this research in order to perfect it in the following research,and truly integrate the new learning mode of classroom teaching with mobile learning to promote the information-based reform and development of English learning in China.
