In order to solve the technological problem about spontaneous coal combustion threatening safety product in Shuang Yashan coal mine, Hei Longjiang province, the quantum chemistry theory and infrared spectrum technology were used to study molecular structures and index gases forming in the process of coal oxidation and spontaneous combustion. Forecasting technology for local condition was established. The difficulty and easiness of spontaneous coal combustion in that area was judged with ignition active energy theory. According to the mechanism of inhibition theory, new type retarder production, PCF, was developed and the comprehensive extinguishing technology with retarder was put forward. The main research is as follows.Based on the analysis on infrared spectrum of coal molecular structures, belongings of each functional group were obtained and molecular structures of coal in Shuang Yashan were established. Based on B3LYP/6-311G, with DFT, chemical basic structure unit of coal molecule was optimized, which laid a theoretical foundation for spontaneous combustion mechanism in that area.Infrared spectrums of all kinds of gases forming in the process of coal oxidation and spontaneous combustion were studied systematically with Fu Liye transform infrared technology. Forecasting model for judging spontaneous coal combustion was founded when the law that index gases formed under difficult temperatures in the process of coal oxidation and spontaneous combustion was studied. And according to the gas samples and environment, control measures were put forward.The difficulty and easiness of spontaneous coal combustion in different layers and faces in Shuang Yashan was judged with ignition active energy theory. New type retarder production, PCF, and the whole applied technology were developed for local condition and the values of increasing water losing temperature and ignition active energy as judging criteria for inhibition effect were put forward.According to index for judging difficulty and easiness of spontaneous combustion of different coals and the relationship between concentration and temperature of index gases, new type retarder should be first choice for fire control in Shuang Yashan. It is effect to control spontaneous coal combustion when spray in the process of extracting. As for the spontaneous combustion in goaf causing by air leakage, comprehensive fire control technology, such as nitrogen and carbon dioxide injection, thick loess grouting, etc, was used.
