In order to preventing coal spontaneous combustion seriously threats the mine safety mining in Shendong mining area, and solve its technical problems, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy technique is applied to the research of coal spontaneous combustion, analyzed the infrared spectra of these generated gas. The forecast model of determining coal spontaneous combustion is built on the basis of research on the generated index gas rule of coal spontaneous combustion at different temperatures; the characteristic of coal spontaneous combustion in Shendong mining area is studied by thermo-gravimetric analysis technology; the level of coal spontaneous combustion in Shendong mining area is classify by the ignition activation energy theory, and new-type inhibitor is developed for different working face and different coal in Shendong mining area, it’s base on the numerical value of enhancing dehydration temperature and increasing ignition activation energy. In Halagou mining area, the spraying inhibitor technique has effectively prevented spontaneous combustion of coal, coal spontaneous combustion causing by air leakage in goaf is prevented by combining nitrogen injection technique with inhibition technique.
