Study On Intelligent Furniture

It sounds incredible that wood can speak. But it is really true that furniture become more and more intelligent or has more functions after combining traditional furniture techniques with DSP(digital Signal Processing) and other techniques. It is reported that China will become a super furniture-manufacturing country during next ten years if only furniture become intelligent. That means it is of great necessity that furniture intelligentilization will be helpful to Chinese furniture industry improvement. Specialists point out that the market share of intelligent furniture probably up to 10 billion RMB in 2010 and 50 billion RMB in 2015.That is to say the development of intelligent furniture will become an independent property in the future. Confronting with such favorable circumstances, we have to choose the way to develop intelligent furniture so as to manufacture more classic furniture products and raise the position of Chinese furniture trade in the world.At the moment, there's still nobody studied on intelligent furniture. Therefore, the writer believes it is of great significance and sense to do the research. Because it can not only improve the development of intelligent techniques in the furniture field, but also can be the design foundation of all kinds of new intelligent furniture products and rich the furniture theory meanwhile. Finally it will bring tremendous economic and community results.The study content and the results are as following:(1) The thesis advances a framework for the intelligent furniture after analyzing the basic relevant products and technique. The framework includes its connotation, denotation, component, classification, innovative design element, the rule and steps of design, the typical SCC(Single Chip Computer) and sensor used in intelligent furniture and the basic theory and techniques used in the thesis.(2) One of the great innovative points of this thesis is that the thought of furniture design called functional modulus design is brought. We use this thought to study on most kinds of the intelligent furniture. Then it forms a functional framework and we get some typical functional modules such as dehumidification, sterilization, lighting, temperature auto-controlling and so on. Finally the writer concretely studied on each module's principle, realization means, the demands and so on.
