The theory and method of reconfigurable modules design for small agriculturalmachinery (SAM) under mass customization (MC) is proposed, and its key realizationtechnology is analyzed.In Chapter 1, a concise review of the application character of small agriculturalmachinery is summarized, the reconfigurable modules design methodology under MC isput forward, and the base, the significance and the content of this study are discussed.In Chapter 2, the definition of reconfigurable modules design of small agriculturalmachinery product and the process of production modules are presented. Due to therequirement of rapid development production for MC, the reconfigurable modulesdesign technical system and their frameworks are established.In Chapter 3, the reconfigurable modules design flexible technique is studied,including the creation of modules flexible parameters and reconfigurable modulesinformation model, the technique of SAM product family layout and module partitionare presented. According to the principles of product modular design, a new modulepartition approach based on interface restraint relation is proposed. Current modulepartition approaches using qualitative methods are expounded, and interface restraintrelation is studied quantitatively by fuzzy membership function. A case of modules insmall agricultural machinery partitioned with cut-sets method is discussed, the resultsshow that the proposed methods are very efficient for product modular design.In Chapter 4, based on classify character of SAM product modules, thereconfigurable modules design techniques of SAM product is defined systemically. TheSAM product modules are designed and optimized by the theory of axiomatic designand TRIZ creative design, and F-B-S information model are employed in the modulesdesign process. A case study conducted in the SF series gearbox of SAM helps toillustrate the proposed approaches. As an application of the proposed approaches, someclassical gearbox modules with the same box character are designed successfully. Themodule construction optimization with CAE technique based on FEA method andorthogonality design is applied for the special module of SAM product without evidentclassify character.In Chapter 5, a customer requirements model of small agricultural machineryproduct under MC is put forward which transform the vague customer needs into thequantized engineering metrics in product design process through employing conjointanalysis and clustering method. Quality function deployment (QFD) technologies isproposed for better understanding customer requirements and accordingly enhancing the product definition for customization and personalization. Data digging, fuzzy theoryand QFD methods for SAM product design under MC are studied in detailed. A casestudy of SF series of small multi-function greenhouse machine is conducted to illustratethe implement of above-mentioned model and technologies.In Chapter 6, the conclusions and achievements of this dissertation are summed up,and the future work is prospected.
