Acute cerebral infarction with high incidence and high disability rate threaten human health and quality of life . It is still an important research subject in present medicine field.Acupuncture play an important role on treatment to cerebral ischemia disease being tradictional therapy .Scalp point through point acupuncture with electro-acupuncture were used to acute cerebral ischemic model by blocking middle cerebral artery of rats and reperfusion established by koinzumi' s method. We took the measure of Baihui point through Qubin and Fengfu to treatment.Experimental SD rats were divided into 3 groups: Sham operation, contrast and acupuncture group.Among contrast and acupuncture group the rats were classified into four time point: ischemia 2 hour reperfusion 2 hour, 6 hour, 12 hour and 24 hour. Immunohisto chemistry and In situ hybridization were used to detect the expression of myeloperoxigase, IL-1β TNF-α mRNA. HE staining method was also used to observe histologic variation and infarcted volume were measure meanwhile.Experimental results indicated: Scalp point through point acupuncture with electro-acupuncture can significantly refrain the expression of myeloperoxigase IL-1β , TNF-α mRNA , relieve necrosis of tissue and Leukocytic infiltrate, and the same time the infarcted volume was reduced.Above results proved that the therapy of Scalp point through point acupuncture with electro-acupuncture has protective effect on acute cerebral ischemia-reperfusion rats, and refrain inflammatory response induced by cytokines. So we suspect that the mechanism may be related to inhibition the expression of inflammatory cytokine.
