The Study On Effective Substance And Evaluation Of Quality Of Trollius Chinensis

The studies on effective substances and quality standard of herbal medicine are the foundation to develop new drugs of high activity, low poison, clear constituent and quality stability. This research worked on the active substances and quality standard of the flower of Trollius chinensis on the basis of its certain clinical effect to set up the theory for new drug study on it.Wild resources of Trollius chinensis Bunge (Ranunculaceae) are abundant. It has the property of clearing heat and expelling toxin, and was used to cure tonsillitis, throat inflammation and acute enteritis in folk remedy. In recent years, the flower of Trollius chinensis has been used clinically on acute tonsillitis, upper respiratory tract infection, pharyngitis, acute enteritis and acute bronchitis and showed remarkable effect. Although it is certain that the flower of Trollius chinensis is a good antibacterial medicine, there are no studies on its effective substances and quality standard.The 60% ethanol elution through polymide was determined as antibacterial and antivirus portion according to pharmacological study. The chemical experiment isolated 18 compounds and identified 13 structures. Among them, 7 compounds were firstly found from Trollius chinensis and 4 compounds were firstly found from the genus of Trollius. Most isolated compounds were flavonoid, and few were organic acid. The quality standard studies were conducted by determining the total flavonoids in the flowers of Trollius chinensis at different flowering time and deciding the optimum harvesting time. It was found that the flavonoids in Trollius chinensis were stable and suitable to be the index compounds for its quality standard. 21 compounds represented by 21 common peaks were established as the effective substances by comparison of the fingerprint chromatograms of 10 samples from different areas.The systematic studies on effective substances and quality standard of...
