Objective To observe the clinical effect of Busui Shengxue granule (BSSXG) in treating chronic aplastic anemia (CAA) and study its mechanism.Methods Fifty-eight cases of CAA were divided into two groups randomly—thirty patients of the treated group were treated with BSSXG and twenty-eighty of the control group were treated with Zaizhang Shengxue tablet (ZZSXT). We observed the clinical effect of these fifty-eight patients treated with BSSXG and ZZSXT. We explored flow cytometry (FCM) to detect forty-five patients the expression of related adhesion molecules VLA-5/CD49e , ICAM-3/CD50 , PSGL-1/CD162 and MGC-24/CD164 on hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell (HSPC) before and after treatment.Results (l)The total effective rate of BSSXG and ZZSXT were 73.33% and 57.14% , the comparison between the two groups showed significant difference (P<0.05). In BSSXG group, its curative effect was superior in Yang deficiency type to that in Yin deficiency type. (2)BSSXG could alleviate CAA patients' anemia symptoms and increase the peripheral blood cells significantly. (3) The levels of CD49e,CD50 were both lower than that in the normal controlled group before treatment, but after treatment they got elevated respectively in different degree. (4) The levels of CD162,CD164 were both higher than that in the normal controlled group before treatment, but after treatment they got decreased respectively in different degree.Conclusion The clinical effect of BSSXG in treating CAA is superior to that of ZZSXT, and its curative effect is superior in Yang deficiency type to that in Yin deficiency type, which approves...
