Survivin Expression In Laryngeal Carcinoma And Its Correlationship With Caspase-3, P53, Cyclin-E And Ki-67

Objective: Laryngeai carcinoma is one of the most common malignant neoplasms in the otorhinolarynogology. Carcinogenesis is a multistage process involving the activation of oncogenes , the inactivation of tumor suppressor genes and the carcinogenic circumstance. Abnormalities in the control of apoptosis play an important role in tumorigensis. Survivin is a novel inhibitors of apoptosis proteins gene. To investigate the relationship between Survivin and the development of laryngeai carcinoma, we studied the expression of survivin in laryngeai carcinoma, adjacent nontumorous laryngeai epithelium and normal laryngeai epithelium by semi-quantitative RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry. To determine the potential involvement of survivin in laryngeai carcinogenesis and to search a marker for early diagnosis and prognostic value of laryngeai carcinoma, we investigated the distribution of survivin protein expression in laryngeai carcinoma, laryngeai leukoplakias and laryngeai papillomas in adults. We also analyzed the relationship between the expression of survivin protein and the expression of caspase-3, p53, cyclin-E, ki-67 proteins in laryngeai carcinoma by immunohistochemistry in order to study their combined effect in laryngeai carcinoma.Methods: Fresh tissues of 20 cases laryngeai carcinoma, 18 cases adjacent nontumorous laryngeai epithelium and 10 normal laryngeai epithelium were examined the survivin expression by semi-quantitative RT-PCR which were proved by sequencer analysis.
