As the globalization of the world economy, China has entered the market-based, information-oriented, science-supported, and knowledge-cored transition period. Industrial cluster has become the most successful pattern for the development of high-tech industry. Different from other industrial cluster enterprises, enterprises in high-tech industrial cluster confront more dynamic environment, which requires rapid adjustment in product specifications and operations according to market, cost and technology changes. For this kind of enterprise’s development research, scholars often focus on industrial cluster and discuss the formation mechanism of cluster’s competitive advantage from the perspective of scale economies and division of labor, only a few scholars focus on industrial cluster enterprises. And research on enterprise growth is often starts with their growth behaviors, rarely consider the influence of social capital and dynamic capacities, which causes difficulties to in-depth analysis of cohesion between the three. From the perspective of enterprise in high-tech industrial cluster, based on the theory of social capital, dynamic capacities and enterprise growth, this paper adopt "resources-capacities-growth" paradigm, using literature and empirical research methods to analysis and test the mechanism of the effect of social capital on synergetic growth. This paper focus on digging the mechanism of the influence of social capital and dynamic capacities on synergetic growth, revealing the different degree of influence on synergetic growth from different dimensions of social capital and dynamic capacities. The research specifies the channel function of social capital and the integration effect of dynamic capacities to resource for enterprises. By coordinating and matching resources with capacities, the synergetic effects of growth are released, which will enrich the research area of social capital, dynamic capacities and enterprise growth. The research is of great theoretical significance and practical value in stimulating growth momentum and innovation vitality of China’s enterprises in high-tech industrial clusters. The main contents of the paper include:Firstly, reviewing the relative literature about the industrial cluster, social capital, dynamic capacities and enterprise growth and evaluating the contribution and shortage, summarizing, defining and classifying the factors this paper will analyze later. Enterprises in high-tech industrial cluster possess leading technology, intensive knowledge and complex industrial relations, which determines the social characters of their growth. Therefore, enterprises need social capital to acquire, accumulate and utilize resources. On account of the situation of enterprises, we extract three research dimensions from the definition of social capital, which are structural, relational, and cognitive. By describing self-organizing characteristics of social capital, together with the facts of information asymmetry and bounded rationality, this paper analyzes social capital’s influence on resource dissemination, ability accumulation and knowledge innovation, which brings up the suggestion of cultivating dynamic capacities constituted by insight, study and creative dimensions. Hence, enterprises can optimize resource allocation and adjust strategic direction according to the change of technology, market and policy, so as to achieve the harmonization of objective and right, risk and strategy, cost and investment, yield and interest, which also means synergetic growth. Then we put forward the study’s theoretical framework, resources-capacities-growth, which indicates that social capital can directly or through dynamic capacities accomplish synergetic growth in objective, risk, cost and profit dimensions.Secondly, we analyze the mechanism of social capital’s influence on synergetic growth by studying resources’ acquirement, transfer and integration process, which endows the heterogeneity of social capital. Turning social capital into synergetic resources is an expansion of traditional resources concept, while dynamic capacities contain insight, study and creative dimensions, different from ordinary competence, can release knowledge and other synergetic resources through resources transfer, integration and promotion, which is also an expansion of traditional capacities concept. In the process of synergetic growth, general growth objective is decomposed into subsidiary objectives, which promotes the risk-ascertaining via interaction, encourages cost-sharing via consultation and ensures reasonable benefits-allocating of growth. With the help of "stimulate-reaction" model in psychology, this paper analyzes the mechanism of impact of social capital and dynamic capacities on synergetic growth, through which the SDS theoretical model is established. Finally, based on theoretical analysis, the paper puts forward thirty-three hypotheses about the influence of social capital and dynamic capacities on synergetic growth, which constitute the conceptual model. On this basis, questionnaire was designed, the validity and credibility of sample data were tested and structural equation model was built by SPSS and AMOS software. Through the evaluation of SEM’s fitness and model modification. following conclusions were drawn:1. Social capital can promote enterprises synergetic growth in high-tech industrial cluster, which opens up a new train of thought for social capital and enterprise growth studies.2. Social capital has active influence on enterprises’ cultivation and application of dynamic capacities, which is the foundation for further analysis of the intermediary role of dynamic capacities.3. Dynamic capacities can remarkably promote enterprises’ synergetic growth in high-tech industrial cluster, which is an important replenishment to research on relationship between social capital and synergetic growth.Through theoretical and empirical research, the paper conducted a tentative innovation from the following three aspects.1. Structuring the theoretical model of "social capital-dynamic capacities-synergetic growth" for enterprises’synergetic growth in high-tech industrial cluster.2. Empirically proving social capital’s positive influence on enterprises’ synergetic growth, and demonstrating that dynamic capacities has a significant intermediary role in the relationship between social capital and enterprises’ synergetic growth in high-tech industrial cluster, which expands academic thoughts on impacts of social capital and dynamic capacities on synergetic growth.3. Clearly defining the implication of synergetic growth for enterprises in high-tech cluster, and dividing synergetic growth into objective-sharing, risk-sharing, cost-sharing and profit-sharing four dimensions, which will guide the development of enterprises in high-tech industrial cluster.Based on theoretical analysis and empirical research, from the perspective of social capital and dynamic capacities, the issue of enterprises’synergetic growth in high-tech industrial cluster is discussed, which provides some references for efficiently accumulating social capital, completely applying dynamic capacities and rapidly achieving synergetic growth.
