| With the sustained and rapid development of China's economy and the accelerated urbanization process, the development of urban rail transit (URT) as the backbone of public transport system, has become the first choice of many large cities. And how to improve the operational efficiency is the key problem facing the sustainable development of URT. So far, domestic research related to it is nearly blank. Therefore, this dissertation relies on Shanghai Science and Technology Committee research programs " Research and Applications to Improve Operational Efficiency of Urban Rail Transit", making comprehensive discussion on the influence factors and its impact on system efficacy of URT. And the author has conducted in-depth theoretical study in view of several key questions. Main research work and results are summarized as follows:First, after analysis and comparison of operational efficiency of URT in international typical cities and Shanghai, the author focused on the land utilization along route and its impact on operating efficiency of URT. He concluded that the planning and implementation process of land utilization along rout of URT, the fare system ticket price, the feed up bus and bike are the most sensitive factors affecting URTSecondly, reasonable ticket pricing model based on maximizing operating efficiency is established to improve the system efficacy of URT. Some methods for determining major external benefit of URT and other parameters of pricing model are also proposed. Based on this, the thesis gave the reasonable distribution of construction and operation cost of URT in the condition of a given ticket price.Third, on the basis of investigation and analysis of feed up transit along route of international typical rail transit traffic, the author studied the feed up transit planning methods for URT from the "line" and "point". With the method of further subdivision of traffic district, a novel model to improve the prediction accuracy of feed up traffic demand in suburban station of URT is set up.Finally, the paper analyzed operating efficiency of existing lines of Shanghai URT. Based on the different characteristics of existing lines, strategies and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency of Shanghai URT are proposed, including: fare adjustment principles and strategies for price differentiation by period and by space, rational development of land utilization around suburban station of URT, layout optimization of transport facilities for feed up transit and return policy for development benefits of URT.This research filled the blank in this research field. The results provide reliable information and guidance for decision support of URT planning and design units. |
