Osteoporosis (OP) is a common disease which occurs mostly in postmenopausal woman and the elderly. Osteoporosis has a definite definition and international reorganization until the fourth international osteoporosis workshop in Hongkong in 1993. Senile osteoporosis is one of three top elderly common diseases, and there are about 60 -80 million OP sufferers in our country. For female's physiological specialty, her OP morbidity is distinctly higher than male especially in postmenopausal.With postmenopausal time prolonging, OP morbidity rises up quickly.In the past, OP was studied a lot inbord and abroad, but much of them based on medication, osseous tissue structure metabolism, osseous function motility, computation module. Owing to clinical demand, author provides objective clinical evidence for how to evaluate postmenopausal osteoporosis systemically and objectively. In this paper, group experiments on osteoporosis animal model were designed, which is caused by emasculation, and treated with Chinese traditional medicine, Western medicine, estrogen, VD, electromagnetism acupuncture.Measured bone mineral density, blood calcium, phosphorus and alkaline phosphatase. Then we analyzed microstructure of osseous tissue. We Operated stretch, compression, bending, torsion, shearing, impact, and stress relaxation, crept experiment on the skeleton. Finally bio-mechanical indices of bone are obtained.Model PreparationDivided 350 rats with 0 week spayed into 7 groups: normal group (NG); model group (MG); Chinese traditional medicine group (CG); Western medicine group (WG), estrogen group (EG); VD group (VD); electromagnetism acupuncture group ( EAG).Executed the rats with abdominal aorta bloodletting after 14 weeks, blood centrifuge, preserved serum in -20℃ice-boxes, dissected the rats and carried out femur, tibia and humerus.Experimens and ResultsObserved cancellous bone by microstructure scope which was cut into ultrathin section and dried, we can find that: bone trabecula of Normal group (NG) aligned orderly, while MG inordinately and sparsely and others are much better than MG.In blood biochemical measurement, blood calcium, phosphorus of MG is obviously higher than NG. There is no significant difference among in NG, CG and WG.The result of alkaline phosphatase test showed that: MG is the lowest; there is no significant difference among in NG CG, WG and EAG; EG and VD are higher than other groups.Bone mineral density results of femur, tibia and humerus displayed: there is no significant difference among in NG, CG and WG. Compared with MG which is the lowest, VD has insignificant change.Tibia stretch experiment displayed: the difference of maximum load, maximum strain and maximum stress among NC, CG and WG is not obvious, but all of them were larger than MG..Maximum load and maximum stress of VD and EG have no significant difference with EAG whose maximum strain is larger than them. Most of fractures appear as rock-candy structure.Compress experiment with the same method as stretch experiment: MG is lower than other groups. The difference of maximum load, maximum strain and maximum stress among NG, CG and WG is not obvious. It is the same as EG, EAG and VD. Most of fractures are oblique fracture.In femur three-point bending experiment, MG is the lowest. NG and CG have no significant difference. The other groups have no significant difference. Femur torsion experiment: maximum stress of NG, CG and WG are close; E AG is larger than VD and EG in maximum stress, but approaches in strain. For shearing experiment as the method of stretch experiment, and its results are similar to torsion experiment.For impacting experiment on tibia by mini impact machine: compared impact energy and impact ductility. It is discovered that NG is markedly larger than others, and MG as lowest.Tibia stress relaxation experiment: MG is the lowest; NG is close to WG and EAG but larger than VD, CG and EAG. VD, CG and EAG have no significant difference.Tibia creep experiment: creep rations of MG is the lowest; W G, EAG and EG are close; NG and CG are larger than VD. ConclusionNG was obviously higher than MG in any mechanical properties. All of the treatments above have effects on preventing from osteoporosis and cure of osteoporosis, especially Chinese traditional medicine and Western medicine treatment. Electromagnetism acupuncture can raise the torsion and shear resistance besides creep rations. Estrogen treatment and VD treatment can promote alkaline phosphates directly. At the same time, VD can prevent from calcium loss effectively. So how to combine these entire treatments in order to achieve the best theroputic effect is our next work.
