Based on the relationships between human and nature, society, objects, music, and spirit, the study attempts to examine traditional Chinese musical culture and its education from an inter subjectivity perspective. An educational structure with seven elements, philosophy, aesthetics, music, culture, psychology, education, and application, is developed to suggest the multi-layer educational objectives including sensitivity, appreciation, process, and cognition. Four principles are established in the study:1. Observing:to learn music phenomena through multiple viewpoints.2. Tasting:to infuse aesthetic feelings in music experience/phenomena.3. Digesting:to understand aesthetic and cultural meanings through music experience/phenomena.4. Connecting:to associate cognition with personal music experience/phenomena.With the four principles in the intersubjectivity perspective, the study further investigates the current elementary and secondary education in traditional Chinese musical culture education. Through some methodologies including field notes, experimentations, observations, and interviews, the researcher has found that applying the perspective not only enhances the core values of Chinese culture but also increases students' motivation in learning traditional Chinese musical culture.
