Despite the significant role associated markers play in complex sentences, there is a lack of extensive research on them. In recent years, the number of studies on Chinese complex sentences increases, while such studies on Vietnamese complex are still relatively weak. As a result, this thesis selects the Chinese and Vietnamese complex sentences' associated markers as the research object, and will study them in greater details using comparative studies. The thesis draws useful information from relevant research results on Chinese complex sentence. Guided by linguistic typology and contact principles, the thesis will also give a detailed description on the Chinese and Vietnamese complex sentences and their associated markers. In addition, the thesis will provide specific analysis associated with the location of the labeled complex sentence, the associated markup patterns and associated mark mode, and the priority sequence. This thesis includes the following aspects:The preamble includes the analysis of China and Vietnam research and explanation of the definitions of the concepts included; article uses theory and corpus source. In this section, the scope of the study of the complex sentence, the classification of the associated markers and the types of associated markup mode are defined. The complex sentence's associated markers include three modes: firstly, words and its ultra-term form of tagging mode associated with the center bonding to the side mode; secondly dependent and thirdly, before and after supporting. The first to sixth chapters analyse the Chinese and Vietnamese parallel complex sentences, language progressive complex sentences, select complex sentences, turning complex sentence, conditions complex sentence, and complex sentence of the more causal association tag and associated tag mode. After this analysis, the thesis investigates and compares the associated tag mode characteristics.Chapter VII analyses the Chinese connection complex sentence, assuming complex sentences, concessive complex sentences and their associated tags and tag modes.Chapter VIII examines the purpose of Vietnamese complex sentences, relatively complex sentences, relative repeated association of markers and associated markers mode.It then further enunciates the distinguishing features between connective markers in each of the three sentence forms. In Chapter 9, the author also discusses the middle degree sequence of each of the aforementioned three sentence forms, in both the Vietnamese language and Chinese language. This discussion is based on three hallmarks-whether the connective marker can be aligned in the middle of the sentence; whether the connective marker may be placed at the former part of the sentence; and whether the connective marker can be used in the latter part of the sentence. Through a simple analysis of the unique characteristics of these middle degree sequences, the author concludes that there are vastly different levels and quantities of the middle degree sequences when they are used in each sentence form.In Chapter 10, based on the conclusions drawn in Chapter 9, the author analyses the common mistakes committed by Vietnamese students in their learning of connective markers in the Chinese language. The author then suggests a few plausible reasons for the occurrences of these mistakes, and further makes recommendations which can be adopted to enhance the effectiveness of learning. The last section of the thesis summarises the study and the main conclusions. Through the studies on Chinese complex sentences with their associated marker mode, we can determine the overall characteristics of the Vietnamese complex sentences'associated marker patterns and we conclude it to be "complete mode, the main center bonding and before and after the whole set".
