A major motivation for this dissertation is to study the?SI VAN POEM ? Pill ~ i~i~ ) in the HAN dynasty.After development of pre-qin dynasty Chinese ancient poetry got into period of攂ack to the ancient ? the 搒i yan poem? Pi~ ~ ~ ) from the book of songs play a important role on the circle of poets in the HAN dyna- sty,because the book of songs have been printed sacred colours by the ruling class .The dissertation consists of four parts: A substantial review of study about the han dynasty 揝i yan poem?has been given in the first chapter. An extensive list of references can be found in 搕he descriptive accounts?( ~ ~ 揷eremonyand musicaccounts?(41 5I~ ~ ) of 揵oo~in the HAN dynastic histories?( ~R 4~ ) .ever since 1950s. the important book of such studies is 損oem collective in the pre-qin han and weijin dynasty 搘ritten by luqinli ( ~ ~ ~L ). Second chapter mainly study contents and characteristics of HAN SI VAN poem .The relationship between the ode ( one of the three sections of the Book of songs ) and SIYAN poem in Han dynasty would be discussed :the SIYAN poem in HAN dynasty originated from the ode of The Book Of Songs, meanwhile ,there were world of differences between them in many ways. Third chapter collected and corrected all the available material except for ode offered sacrifices to gods or ancestors :first, words of praise in the historical records ( .~ 1~ ~ ), included the Re- cords Of The Historian and the Books In The Han Dynastic His- tories ; second section ,the formal admonition ( ~ ) ,inscrip- tion ( ~ ) , an inscription on a tablet ( ~ ) , the dirge pr- onounced over the dead ( ~ ) ; third section , the folk songs used for practise divination ( ~ ~ ) The most important question: the poet expressed emotion with the ode, would be seriously investigated in last chapter. the typical example was CaoCao( ~ ~...
