Propositions Representation Item Exchanging Effect Of Language Expression In Chinese Sentence Comprehension

Sentence comprehension is one of the important fields of language knowledge research. In the process of sentence comprehension, there are not only the confirmation of the coding and words of the vision information , but also the analysis of the relationship of syntax and the relationship of the semantic in a sentence, and form a effective, constant and reasonable propositions representation. One important issue is how all the items composing the sentence process and form a propositions representation and what is the characteristic of each item in the propositions representation.On this research, on the base of summarizing all the characteristics of sentence item processing directionality , the author advances the propositions representation item exchanging effect of language expression in sentence comprehension. In this research, the propositions representation item exchanging effect of language expression is defined as in the propositions representation of simple sentence or a sentence of two or more clauses, if the item order of language expression occurs displace with the according items in the propositions which they process, including the order of subject and the object or the order of the main clause and the subordinate clause , it is named the propositions representation item exchanging effect of language expression.In this research, sentence-picture verification task is adopted, and design three experiment, discuss about the issues of the propositions representation item exchanging effect of language expression by the numbers.In the experiment I, the author review the propositions representation item exchanging effect of language expression of space relation sentence. The result indicates that the characteristics of the sentence item affect the processing of the effective propositions representation, and so affect the propositionsrepresentation Item Exchanging. When the sentence item is abstract figure, the propositions representation that processed in the simple sentence of space relationship is "reference -object ", if the sentence item express the order is "object -reference ", the propositions representation items will exchange, while the sentence items are concrete substance and abstract substance, the effective propositions representation that processed in the simple sentence of space relationship is "concrete object -abstract figure", if the sentence item express the order is "concrete object -abstract figure ", the propositions representation items will exchange, while the sentence items are experience and common sense, the effective propositions representation that processed in the simple sentence of space relationship is " reference -object", and it can also be "object-preference", the propositions representation items will not exchange.The experiment II review the propositions representation item exchanging effect of language expression of Chinese simple passive sentence. The result indicate that the characteristics of the sentence item processing of the propositions representation in Chinese passive sentence is related with the semantic.. For the normal Chinese passive sentence, people are easily form the constant propositions representation of " agent -object", if the sentence item express the order is " object -agent", the propositions representation items will exchange, while for the experience and normal sense Chinese passive sentence, because the semantics the experience and normal sense, the semantic between the sentence items is very strong , it is very easy to form the "agent - object" and the "object-agent" propositions representation. It shows the character of agility.
