A Review Of Modern Chinese Poetry Image

Image is an important category with key significance in Chinese poem studying and also an important noumenal factor in poetry creation. Poet's creation inspiration and experience to the life are both condensed in image. Image; is the special way to manifest itself for poetry to be distinguished from other literary styles. The text makes a systematic monographic study of modern Chinese poetry with image as the visual angle. It illustrates from three aspects: study of image poetry, study of image art development, and study of image art comparison. The first is the theory basis of the study, and the second is the main content of the study of image text in details and summary of transmutation laws of modern image art, and from the last one we can see in perspective the modernity and national characteristic of modern Chinese poetry image art to form a tentative system of modern Chinese poetry image art study.The first chapter systematically summarizes modem poetry theory and extracts notional category with the sense of modern Chinese image poetry. It makes a systematic summary and explanation on modern image poetry by stages with the clue of genesis and development of modern image poetry and with the core of colonies, schools or representative poem critics. At first it explores the theory source of modern Chinese poetry. The rheology of ancient Chinese image poetry is briefly described and analyzed according to two basic constructions and three theory promotings. The western image poem theory mainly introduces the most prominent western modernist poetry that has influenced modem Chinese poetry. It also generalizes comparatively the different characteristics between Chinese and western image poetry. The genesis stage of modern image poetry is in 1920s. It mainly demonstrates multi-aspects influences that English and American poetry of image group shows on Hu Shi's poetry point and his vernacular and new poem activity and reviews the view and significance of the study of image as characteristics of native country, modernity, illusion theory, mysteriousness and Xin Xiang theory of new metrical poem group represented by Wen Yiduo. It reviews as well the symbolism image poetry theory advocated by symbolism group represented by Li Jinfa that image and symbol have the characteristics of identity, mystery and obscurity.The development period of image poetry is between 1930s and 1940s. This section analyzes modern school's image poetry point of view with the core of dimness, harmonious theory and artistic conception and also Bei Jing school's image poetry theory such as agreement theory, art and temperament and interest theory, revealing and hidden theory, inspiration theory and Image connecting theory and July school's image theory explaining the poetry point on the center of Ai Qing's concrete and abstract sensualism, image imagination theory and image and graphic theory and Hu Feng's experience imagetheory. Nine-Leaves school's poetry study is expanded from such aspects as poem quality theory, rational theory, artistic conception, structuralism theory, sinking theory and condensing theory etc. and it represents the basic maturity of modern image poetry theory.The second chapter, as the development theory of modern Chinese poetry image art, explores systematically the historical evolution process of modern image art from genesis, development to maturity and its regularity and phased characteristics.
