Verse Poetry created by Jiang Kui is of great significance in the history of Ci, however it is more discussed in the context of the Southern Song Dynasty study. In fact, the dynasty changes certainly cannot separate the word wind development and Verse Poetry was truly completed in the the Yuan Dynasty. Poets in the period between the Song and Yuan Dynasties, such as Zhou Mi, Zhang Yan, Wang Yi Sun and Qiu Yuan etc. are of great importance for the completion and continuity of Verse Poetry. "Ci Yuan" written by Zhang Yan not only sums up the Ci in the Southern Song Dynasty, but also exerts great influence on the development of the Ci in the Yuan Dynasty. Verse Poetry still continues in the Yuan Dynasty, among which poets as Zhang Zhu and Zhang Yu can be regarded as the representatives. This paper studies how the poets of Verse Poetry creat the Ci, what their ideas are and deeply explores the theories of Verse Poetry, such as Qingkong and Saoya. On the basis of thorough reading the relevant materials, the paper tries to be systematic. It tries to make a conclusion of the common characteristics and the development track of Verse Poetry in order to achieve the relevant theory of creation in the Song and Yuan Dynasties based on the case studies.Chapter one is on the whole creative concept of Verse Poetry, including how Verse Poetry gets its name, the background and six characteristics of the creation, that is following the custom elegantly, melody harmony, deliberation of words and meanings, the structure of words, melting poems of the Tang Dynasty into Ci and focusing on object. The following chapters are on the representative poets of Verse Poetry in the period of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, namely Zhou Mi, Wang Yi Sun and Zhang Yan. Chapter two is on the aesthetics, the Word thinking, the Word content and artistic style of Zhou Mi. Chapter three focuses on Wang Yi Sun's word features of object and its aesthetic content. Chapter four is on Zhang Yan's words and word theory. On the basis of previous research, the paper explores its characteristic of "pure and beauty", the theory of words on objects, the temperament principle and the word formation etc. Chapter five focuses on the theory of Qingkong and Saoya created by Zhang Yan in "Ci Yuan", including the contents, factors related and methods to achieve Qingkong; the study on the relationship between Saoya and Fuya, and Meici and the bold words. Saoya was created as a result by Zhang Yan's comparison of poem and Ci, which marked the completion of Fuya in Songci. In addition, Saoya has an enormous impact on the factions of western Zhejiang and Changzhou in the Qing Dynasty. Chapter 6 deals with the creation and ideas of poets of Verse Poetry, Qiu Yuan, Yuan Yi and Zhao Meng Fu, who are rarely mentioned. Chapter seven is on the poets of Verse Poetry in the Yuan Dynasty, that is Zhang Zhu, Zhang Yu and Shao Heng Zhen. Under the background of the Ci in the Yuan Dynasty, it focuses on the same points and differences of the poets in the Yuan Dynasty and in the period between the Song and Yuan Dynasties.In short, Verse Poetry is a very important word trend in the history of Ci. On the basis of the study on creative ideas, aesthetic theory and the theory of Ci, the paper tries to work thoroughly on the development and evolution of Verse Poetry in the Song and Yuan Dynasties without the limits of dynasties.
