Reasearch On The Verses In HuaBen Of Novel In Song-Yuan Dynasty

HuaBen of novel in Song-Yuan Dynasty is a kind of written popular literature ,originating from a professional art about telling and singing story ,and has some characteristics of oral literature. One of the most significant features is the incorporation of verse with prose. This paper will mainly research verses in HuaBen of novel("HuaBen-verse"abbreviated as follow).HuaBen-verse's styles are more complicated. Generally, they can be divided into"poetry","Ci","FuZan","paired sentences". The occurrence of poetry is frequentest. In addition to quoted famous poems, large number of poems are less literary works near to spoken language, without precise rhythm. First of all, the reason is that audiences don't have high level of educations. Secondly, both of audiences and authors all like poems. Thirdly, moral meanings are traditionally expressed only by poetry. Except traditionally poems, there are many special verses. Paired sentences can be seen as the interception of poetry and used freely. Though Ci is the literature of Song Dynasty, there is fewer Ci. FuZan is a kind of relatively specific verse which is divided into four categories.HuaBen-verse's functions mainly include narration, comment and performance. The application of verses depend on the development of plots, sigh,the depiction of characters,scenerise and so on. Performance mainly services for"Talking"and attracts audiences. About narration, this thesis discusses the depiction of characters.Poems of first part can clearly point out theme ,cover all the story,creat a kind of mood. Verses of"ZhengHua"are used to divide performance and verses of final part summarize the entire story. Because HuaBen move away from the oral art, performance is difficult to be identified,generally including"singing","reciting","ShiQie". This thesis don't reaserch the founction of comment.Verse's aesthetic values can be summarized as"ShuChang-characteristic","implicit characteristic","pattern". So-called ShuChang-characteristic,verses systerm is suited to performance. In fact, Poetry is very implicit. In addition, the speaker needs to use poems to express all of the conception, plot outline, and scences of enjoyment. Pattern may attribut to Talking's fomula. Fundamental reason is that the impact of performance art.HuaBen-verse's style, function,aesthetic features are all restricted by commercial performance. All of them are marked with the popularization.
