A Study On Chao-She And Yi-She Poets

After the revolution of 1911,a group of officials and intellectuals who loyal to Qing dynasty fled to Shanghai concessions.They organized two poet clubs named Chao-She and Yi-She.This dissertation is a special study on the two clubs and the group of poets.The introduction is about the topic's research situation,meaning and difficulties.In the first chapter,I begin from the Shanghai concessions in the situation of the revolution,then try to explore how the poets gathered in Shanghai and how the group came into being. Most importantly, I want to point out the relationships existing among the poets and the political identity of the group. In the second chapter,I want to introduce the history of Chao-She,including the beginning,the meetings,the crisis and disorganization of the club.The third chapter is about the history of Yi-She which was organized by the members of Chao-She after its disorganization. But Yi-She was dismissed too,after a low tide period and reopening in the suffering of modern China. In the fourth chapter,I want to explore the poets' embarrassment.Some of them hesitated whether to accept an official position or not in Republic China.Reputation is an important thing for them. And behind that is the problem of living situation and moral pursuit.In the fifth chapter,I want to explore the political ideas and political actions of the poets.Their dream is to come back to monarchy.Because of this dream,they engaged in lots of political plans secretly and participated in China's modern history deeply.In the sixth chapter,I want to show the feeling themes of their poems.The seventh chapter is a case study about some important poets' personality and art style.The poets is Chen Sanli,Shen Zengzhi,Zheng Xiaoxue,Chen Zengshou,Fan Zengxiang and Liang Dingfen. The last chapter is a deep study of the whole topic.By analyzing the social change and personal conditions,I want to explore why the poets selected the conservatism position in politics and culture.At last,I want to say that this group of poets are very important figures in the culture history of modern China and should not be ignored.
