This thesis expounds on the feudal provincial governor system and related problems in the dynasties of the Eastern and Western Han, Wei, the Jins and the South. It is an elaboration on the thirteen feudal prefectural governor bu system and an analysis of the controversial question on zhou and bu in the last hundreds of years, finding out the social reasons that aroused the functional changes because of the governors overpowering in the Western Han Dynasty; advancing the idea that zhou system developed by steps in the Eastern Han Dynasty; making a tentative study on zhou system in the period of Three Kingdoms, the Jins and the South Dynasty; bravely putting forward and tentatively proving the proposition that zhou system is a hereditary system in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, which helps the understanding of the typical menfa political system in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
