China enterprises have been accepted large amount of capital, advanced technology and manegement expertises from abroad for 20 years since economic reform and Open Door Policy in 1979. There is new wave to adopt "going abroad" strategy which activily participation of international division and competition. Chinese enterprises are facing severe chanllenge for internationalization with the entrance of China's getting into WTO. (1) the import of equipment and technology as well as the establishment of joint venture is a period of necessory preparation for doing business abroad; (2) the pattern, speed and scale of internal internationalization wilj influence the development of the external internatioanlization; (3) the effects of internal internatioanlization will,to large extent, affect performance of Chinese companies in foreign market. How to measure the extent of internationlization of firm is one of the chanllenges. The author put forwards the "Spidc Net model" with obsorbing relevent studies previously.
