Study On The Path To Industrialization Of Developing Areas (Cities)

This dissertation research focuses on the industrialization of developing areas (cities). Drawing from the Management Science, this research attempts to discover a general way for developing areas (cities) to industrialize and achieve fast development by developing an industrialization analytical framework, exploring industrialization development road, and through a case study of Hengshui's industrialization.In this dissertation, the theory of industrialization is discussed based on Management Science. Then, a framework for analyzing industrialization of an area (city) and an industrialization analytic model are developed based on previous discussion.Building on the industrialization analytical framework and interrelated theories and focusing on the disputable disadvantages and advantages of developing areas (cities), some key issues associated with the development route to industrialization for developing areas (cities) are discussed systematically from institutional environment, techenique and innovation. Then, a set of development route to industrialization for developing areas (cities) that are very easy to operate are provided.In the end of dissertation, by presenting a case study of the city of Hengshui and based on tools of Management Science, this research offers empirical evidence for the conclusions on industrialization of developing areas (cities). And on the base of the industrialization analytical framework of Hengshui, the industrialization of future Hengshui is studied. The main innovatory point of dissertation is the argumentation that industrialization is the only way to modernization of developing areas (cities) is proved by presenting a case study of the city of Hengshui. The construction of industrialization will not only promote the development of society and economy strongly, but also provide effective methods to solve some problems exists in developing areas (cities), such as lack of financing and person with ability. This dissertation argufies the conclusion from many points of view.Another innovatory point of dissertation is a new integrated analytical framework to be used in benefit evaluation of industrialization is developed, which is based on Managment Science and Economics. The analytical framework also gives integrated analysis to technology, institution and innovation.The third innovatory point is applying the Aritificial neural network and combination forecasting methods to forecast the Hengshui city's future indurstralization. And a specific strategy framework to push industrialization of developing areas step by step is provided by combining the analyses of Hengshui's industrialization, which is very easy to operate.
