Empirical Research On Livability Level Of Cities Based On Factor Analysis

As urbanization continues to accelerate, the size of cities expands, population ofurban increase. At the same time, a series of problems in urban construction areexposed, such as ecological damage, environmental pollution, disasters, energyshortages, traffic congestion, and food safety. Building a livable city in which societyis harmonious, environment is beautiful, development is sustainable, has becomedevelopment goals in many domestic and international cities. Thus how to buildlivable cities becomes an important academic research.The purpose of this paper is to build evaluation system of livable city and enrichlivable urban evaluation theory, by analyzing the theory of livable cities. Throughempirical analysis, the study summarized the present situation of livable citiesconstruction in Guangdong province, then proposed corresponding solutions ofenhancing livability level, and provided theoretical guidance for building livable cityin Guangdong province.This paper focuses on the issues:1, Through literature study, systematically summarized the connotation andcharacteristics of livable city, and expounded the related theory of livable city indetail.2, Comparative analysis is used to summarize the contents and characteristics ofthe livability construction in domestic and foreign cities, and summed up thecommonness and difference of the livable cities construction at home and abroad.3, Established a comprehensive evaluation index system for the livability level of21cities in Guangdong province.4, Factor analysis method is used to comprehensively evaluate livability level of21cities in Guangdong, the following conclusions were drawn: in Guangdongprovince the livability level of each city is different; in terms of region, the livabilitylevel of coastal area is higher; livability level is positively related to the level ofeconomic development; according to the regional center, Livability level decreased;the optimization of urban ecological environment is the important content of building livable city.5, Countermeasures and suggestions of enhancing livability level of the cites inGuangdong province were given. The main contents includes: Promoting urbaneconomy sustainably healthy and rapid development; In order to improve theintegrated services level of cities, strengthen the construction of urban infrastructure;Developing urban public utilities; Strengthen environmental protection so as tooptimize the living environment; Strengthen city security construction; Highlight theregional culture and taste, build livable city with Lingnan culture characteristics. Inorder to promote the smooth progress of livable city, organization guaranteemechanism is established which includes five aspects.
