Study About Channel Mechanism Performance Under Competitive Supply Chain

Supply chain is defined as integrated net structure which the core enterprise control the flows of capital, information, and materials from the supplier , manufacturer, distributor, and retailer. In the global economical environment enterprises compete with other enterprises from demand market to supplier, then the competition of one enterprise become that of supply chains, this require the supply chains have the whole competitive advantage except the proficiency. View from structure the competitive supply chains are very complicated, and then the coordination management become very difficult. The highest level of supply chain management is the strategic coordination, the most important question is how to design cooperation mechanism, such as the risk collocation, bargaining power, and information sharing. However, the coordination of competitive supply chain is related to the external situation, and also to the internal situation. Thus ,the construction of coordination mechanism and performance evaluation is very important under competitive supply chains.Firstly, we analyze two competitive supply chains structure under the difference of cost and products, the results are that the channel structure is integrated when competition is very low, the channel structure is decentralization when competition is very high, and with the enlarged difference of cost the centralization scope of the poor manufacturer become small, the decentralization scope of the poor manufacturer become small, but its poor situation become large.Secondly, the competitive supply chain structures are studied under symmetry and asymmetry bargaining power, the included results are as follows, the channel structure is integrated when competition is very low and retailer bargaining power is strong, or the competition is very strong and retailer bargaining power is poor, or competition is very low and retailer bargaining power is also low. The channel structure is integration when competition is very medium and retailer bargaining power is medium, but this structure is low efficient, which called prisoner puzzle. The channel structure is mix when competition is very strong and the second retailer bargaining power is poor, which is the situation of the first centralization and the second decentralization.Thirdly, we analyze the return policy under competitive supply chain, and choice is dependent with the characteristic of demand uncertainty, only the risk is medium the return policy is benefit to each other ,and this policy is useful to reduce to the varianceof retailer price .We also study the dynamic coordination mechanism in the increasing environment of price, and find the combination of return policy and wholesale price can coordination channel.Fourthly, we study the revenue sharing contract under competitive supply chain ,find that the role of this contract is very limited under consideration of the centralization and form the prisoner puzzle.,only without the centralization the revenue sharing contract play important role under some scope. If the manufacturer has the control power this contract can realize the Pareto efficiency.Lastly, we also study the information sharing performance under competitive supply chains, find that the supply chain structure play core role, in some situation the information is very important , however, in other situation the information sharing is unnecessary.
