In this thesis we use economic theory to explain China's present agricultural land problem. This research about the thought of agriculturalland can help us to understand agricultural land institution comprehensively. In 1950s, China enacted a series of laws about land reform, and after three years land reform, 300million rural population, which had no land or only had a little land, got 46.67milion hectare farmland. This made the situation of the rural people had his own land. After 1978, there was a most deeply revolution occurred in China agriculture, and this pushed development of China agriculture greatly. After a series of agricultural reforms, the farmer's work was connected with his final production, and this presented fanners with great incentives to work hard. From the year of 1992 on, our agricultural reform had come into a new stage. In this period, China had made further measures to stabilize and perfect basic agricultural management institution. These measures included extending land tenure, developing land scale-management in some district, etc. Carefully analyzing the agricultural land reform of this period can provide us with some important suggestion to the establishment of China agricultural land institution in future.Based on the procession and question of China agricultural land institution development since the construction of the People's Republic of China, this thesis includes seven chapters, and the content of these seven chapters as follows:Chapter one is introduction.Chapter two is the thought of agricultural land cooperativization. In his chapter, the cause and background of agricultural cooperativization, along with the ownership and management of rural land, has been discussed.Chapter three is the thought of household-rent-land. This chapter recalls the origin and development of the household-rent-land system, makes analysis and evaluates this system from the angel of new institution economics. A conclusion has been drawn out, that is, the right arrangement of the household-rent-land system is not only an inducedinstitutional change but also a result of the game between central and local governments.Chapter four is the thought of household responsibility system. At first, this chapter reiterates the development stages of household responsibility system, then the question of to construct the system of household responsibility or not has been discussed, and at last this chapter puts up the thought of agricultural land institution innovation.Chapter five is the thought of agricultural land management. This chapter analyzes and evaluates some main institutions of agricultural land management in order to use agricultural land management forms reseaonably.Chapter six is the thought of agricultural land and population, mainly discusses the transfer of rural residual labor.Chapter seven is conclusion and suggestion.
