A Research On Political Participation Of Contemporary Chinese Social Group

The social group is an indispensable and important social power in the development of democracy, its politics participate is the basic trend of contemporary political development. Developing socialism democracy, pushing the political development in contemporary China, which cannot separate from social groups and their political participation. With the developing of reforming and opening, contemporary Chinese social groups and their political participation have become the important social political phenomenon, and become an important theoretical and practical problem which constructing socialism political civilization must face. The foothold of the thesis is the social political actuality, the angle of view is developing the socialism democracy, and the guided thought is Marxist political basic principle. The thesis studies social groups by putting them in the relation between the state and society, analyzes their political participation at the angle of view of political development. Basing on above-mentioned theoretical premise, thesis systematically studies the theoretical and practical problem of social group political participation in contemporary China, from the following aspects: the ability of political participation, the ecological environment of political participation, the mechanism of political participation, the development and perfect of political participation. Firstly, the thesis analyses the political participation of social groups in contemporary China theoretically. The writer thinks, the political participation of social groups reflects the request of democracy on the relation between state and sociality, and the progress of political development. From the angle of view of the relation between state and society, state and society is two different categories, in which they have their own movable scopes. Because the power of state has the characteristics of expansion, in order to guarantee the development of democracy, in addition to standardizing the power of state with the law system, we must strengthen the independence of society, and develop power of society. As folk organization, the social group is the important part of social power. It is unique for social groups that strengthen the social independence and restrict the power of state in the relation between state and society. But, the social group can give full play to its function only when they participate in political living. Comparing with the individual citizen political participation, the social group political participation strengthens the ability of citizen political participation, expands the channels of citizen political participation, and improves the quantity of citizen political participation. The social groups' political participation reflects the development of democracy, and is a basic trend of modern political development.Secondly, the thesis analyses the ability of social groups political participation, combining the development condition of contemporary Chinese social groups. The writer thinks, since the Third Plenary Session of Eleventh Central Committee of the Chinese Party, Chinese social groups have entered a new history period by the pushing of the government and folk power. Not only the quantity of the social groups increases quickly, but also the category increases greatly, and the independence strengthens gradually. The social groups have certain ability of political participation. The ability of social groups political participation depends on its social resource, for example, funds, society relation, human resource, legitimacy and the means and ability of obtaining these etc. the amount of social resource which social group owns affect its ability of political participation directly.
